I've said plenty of times he follows the same formulas a lot but i still think this particular album is dope for a couple of reasons:

1. I think sonically it felt bigger and fuller (and not just be he got outside help cause his own productions feel more epic as well). Add to that great sequencing. It flows and feels pretty good.

2. He got a few tracks that deviate from the usual formula (keep the devil off, justin track), so he took more risks than usual which worked out. AND, the tracks that do end up in his usual lane are at least good versions of the formula for the most part.

3. The album feels more focused. There is a clearer intent to take you on a ride (which all goes back to sequencing).

A great concept for Aux Cord would have been if he switched up the beat and tempo as someone else snatched the aux cord and put in what they wanted to listen to.

If it went from smooth, to some trap/club shyt, to some real shyt or something. Missed opportunity IMO, and I like that song, but he could have got more creative with the concept there.

using the "this song could be on this album" argument to prove why a artist is repetitive is dumb as fukk

as you can do that for every artist.

you can argue that "x Nas song can be placed on x nas album" that dont make him repetitive

like "second childhood" from Stillmatic could be placed on God son. Now does that make Nas repetitive?

there are core themes to every artist even the artist yall nikkas have as your favorites/top 5

Came in to reiterate what a dope album this is and people already discussing what's next. He just dropped a hella dope double album. Let that man breathe and enjoy the good music yo.

Then the next album needs to be a triple album :hmm:

I think things like that separate the great artist from the elite. Still one of my favs on the album.

Take Drinking Sessions and compare it to Kendricks U. Similar tracks just one is more creative than the other.
