Your boy sounds like someone that listened to 3 Krit tracks total :huhldup:

This album made be revisit earlier Krit stuff and I’m glad I have his music on CD, laptop and the datpiff app, cause streaming has really tanked his previously released music. So many tracks either have samples entirely removed, instruments randomly inserted where they weren’t before, or instruments that are there replaced by different versions of that instrument. “1986” is missing the last 20 minutes of the beat switch and in ruins the whole song. I listened to Krit’s music a ton in real time, so all of these changes painfully sticks out like a sore thumb. It’s like the horns taken off the hook of Biggie’s “Ready To Die” track.

Krit's 'Digital Roses Don't Die' highlights his vocal abilities. The fusion of his singing and rapping simply float, whereas other artist would recruit other artist. It's a smooth project; it feels good.

Krit's entire NPR 'Tiny Desk' was wavy, but below are two points during Tiny Desk where Krit sings live 'Bury Me in Gold' and 'Where I Wanna Be' as a child. [just press play; the videos are timestamped]

Bury me in Gold

The project sounds great. It has great sounds and rythms. Just seems to lack raps.

it seems krit has moved past trying to out rap the industry and would rather make melodic music.

which is fine to me. He has shown that he can lyrically compete with the greats and theirs enough of that to last a while.
