One is heel, the other one isn't. Let's be honest that's what it is.

Either that or black people want to see a DOMINANT black champion that doesn't feel secondary to whoever holds the Universal Champion. In general, the WWE doesn't know how to really book dominant faces and haven't made the effort to do so outside of a handful of people (Austin, Cena, Batista, McIntyre, etc.)

This.

Not every face can be Stone Cold Steve Austin/The Rock or even Drew McIntyre or Bobby Lashley to an extent (ass-kickers).

Big E's natural inclination is to be the happy, upbeat face that you have to piss off in order to see what he's truly capable of (i.e. "Feel the power"). We've yet to see that from him in the ring (he tries to tap into it with promos) and his reign honestly started off like trash when Lashley was trucking him in their first rematch before the New Day and Hurt Business showed up to cause a DQ. Even when he beat him in the cage match, Lashley was whooping his ass for most of it.

What some members TSC wants to see is Big E not be himself and start "Three ain't enough man I need FIVE" mother fukkers. Just truck all comers and drop his natural personality, which is happy-go-lucky.

A happy-go-lucky personality as WWE champion can work, if the booking supports the layers beneath the character and helps establish him as someone who is deathly serious as an in-ring threat. Big E legitimately needs a drawn out feud where the payoff sees him put the challenger on the shelf for a little bit.
He needs to follow Damian priest blueprint and be happy go lucky with a dark side. That can only be written in.
A storyline where he spazzes out and both new day members can't hold him back.

Y'all are so fickle.

Just admit, y'all just like heels and not babyfaces.

Cant remember the last Babyface champ y'all liked.

Big E's run hasn't been bad at all. He's asserted himself as a main eventer finally. It's just really starting for him.

I admit it does feel like they don't know what to do with him. Have a feeling he's gonna lose the belt on day one.

I’m pretty sure people liked Bryan and Kofi

he can be cartoonish & keep his naturally positive disposition

the tough shyte doesn't fit him he should make light of everything

cartoon ultra.violence works it's plenty psychotic characters that keep a smile regardless of the damage they deal or take

he can be cartoonish colorful & menacing

they gotta fix the in ring shyte

he is legitimately in the conversation among strongest superstars ever they need to book his matches like that

they make it look like these other guys are even close to being in the same tier as him strength wise when he's real life throwing them over the ropes

But when this happens, MFs start talking about "Superman pushes"... which is weird too, like do you want them to be the top guy or not? You win too much, people knock the push. You take some L's, they act like you're gettin' buried. The only faces people really seem to be invested in are the ones that they think are being held back, so they can get a "you deserve it" routine going. Then they get what everybody says they deserve and everybody's almost instantly ready to move on to the next guy.

Drew Total= Total overhaul of character
Lashley= Total overhaul of character
Rollins=Several mf overhauls of character
hell
Jinder mf Mahal=Total overhaul of character
Cena, Reigns, Orton etc...

but im not saying anything Paul aint told him, "Gotta make people forget the Shield(New day) ever existed" paraphrased of course

Having him cash in on Lashley in the manner he did was dumb :yeshrug:

Giving the title to someone that hadn't yet completely removed themselves from over the top silliness was also dumb :yeshrug:

Bobby lashley should've never lost the belt.

Ever since he lost the belt raw hasn't been the same.

Lashley gave you a reason to tune in.

Big E isn't the champion raw needs.:yeshrug:

Yea I’m not normally a fan of long ass title reigns but Lashley was an exception. He should have not lost the belt and had a year + reign.

Coulda just had Big E pull a Seth and cash in during Roman match at Mania and pin whoever his opponent is. Roman loses the belt while still looking strong.

Assuming Roman goes over on Day 1 :hubie:

WWE doesnt know how to book face champs well these days.

Drew's run got boring to me real quick because he wanted to be a "fighting champ" and that always sours quick because its new challenger every month, nothing built to last, and no payoffs for anyone involved. Like don't fukking bring me Dolph Ziggler as a #1 contender when he's been tagging for the previous year.

Big E needs a feud like Roman had with KO. Something long, drawn out, and features different types of matches. Give E a good ass payoff and give people a reason to invest in him as a champion. And hell, I wouldn't mind him bringing back the 5 count during a big time match. WWE's face champs are all cut and paste and have been for the last 5 years.
