But your positive emotions towards BDK matter and that's the criteria we should use to compare rappers...:mjlol:

MC Hammer's success in the rap is Top 20 status...Actual Fact...Not emotion...Not personal bias...These are numbers that can be calculated...

When you have to throw facts out the window to support an argument, that's when you know your argument is based on fumes...:russ:

You have no valid, that's why the only thing you can imply is that you think BDK is better than MC Hammer based on your personal feelings...I can accept that, but at the same time, I want you to know it is a BS argument...

I prefer Prodigy than Jay Z on any given day, but it would make no sense, in my logic, to rank Prodigy above Jay Z...The numbers wouldn't add up...:russ:
Who made better music?
Who was a better rapper?
That's all that's worth discussing.
Prodigy is better than Jay-Z.

Him and Kool g rap both can spit, but I think to really be among the greatest overall rappers and not just lyricists, you have to have a solidified, classic album, and neither one does IMO..their best is 4 mic albums,at best

live and let die is the best gangsta album lyrically ever made and a flawless album.
to the point he outraps all his other gangsta rap contemporaries on it as well.
the album most westcoast people don't like to acknowledge cause he rips all the west coast a new one and over their style of production as well.
including embarrassing kane at the same damn time as well.

also,..the original advance to g rap's rawkus album is a classic.
since guys like to say the nastradamus album advance is a classic as well.

So going by your "Logical" thinking wouldn't Vanilla Ice be a bigger icon then BDK? He sold more albums, had the first ever #1 rap song on the Billboards, even bumped MC Hammer from the #1 album spot.
(1) MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice are NOT synonymous...You can't substitute MC Hammer with Vanilla Ice...:russ:First, you have to answer this question, do you believe that Vanilla Ice is a legitimate Hip Hop MC? If you don't then he is irrelevant to the discussion...

(2) My argument is that MC Hammer is a LEGITIMATE Hip Hop MC who CONSISTENTLY sold platinum albums ...I think MC Hammer has four albums that were CERTIFIED multi-platinum...

Yet, people want to put local acts like BDK in GOAT lists, but when you bring up MC Hammer, they want to act weird like if it is an absurd argument...

(3) If you think Vanilla Ice is a legitimate Hip Hop MC then I will proceed and debate...But let us resolve the current argument...Is MC Hammer a legitimate Hip Hop MC? If you say no, then what factors disqualify him? if you say yes, then being as OBJECTIVE as possible, why is it absurd to consider him as a better MC than the vast majority of Hip Hop artists of his time, considering he was probably the MOST successful MC of the late 80s and early 90s?

(4) Don't confound the argument by bringing up irrelevant factors...It is like we are having a discussion about Nas vs Nelly and you start bringing up The Laffy Taffy dudes, how is this relevant?:mjlol:

Who made better music
How do you define "better music"? And which audience are you asking this question?
MC Hammer sold multiple platinum records multiple times...4 times if I am correct...So, it wasn't just a fluke one hit wonder phenomenon...Dude REALLY took Hip Hop to another level and transcended the hood, the state and even the country...

If music is artistic entertainment and MC Hammer was able to reach a wider audience than BDK, then isn't it obvious that he made the "better music"? You may not like it, but a lot more people enjoyed MC Hammer's music than BDKs...FACTS.
Who was a better rapper?
Again, how do you defined "better rapper"? Rolling Stone Magazine believes Biggie is a better rapper than 2Pac and the greatest ever, I thinking they are out of their minds...

I think Future is a TERRIBLE rapper, but kids today claim he is the best rapper around...But if you ask me who is the better rapper now, Future vs Canibus, in my personal opinion, Canibus and there is NO comparison...

But objectively, I have to say Future...He is more entertaining to a wider and more diverse crowd than Canibus, and even though I think Future is a TERRIBLE rapper, I am NEVER going to say that he is not talented, because it is not that easy to do what Future is doing...

That's all that's worth discussing.
Prodigy is better than Jay-Z.
That is just a personal opinion that I can't argue against...In my opinion, Prodigy is better than Jay Z, but if you asked 1000 people across the world, "who is better, Prodigy vs Jay Z?" I willing to bet that the vast majority will PROBABLY say Jay Z...

The world would be a better place if we didn't let our personal opinions blind us from the numbers...

:wtf:

Did anyone even listen to This Looks Like a Job For......?

BDK tore shyt up that album.

Even Daddy's Home had a few bangers

BDK skillwise was an elite lyricist, even his more R and B albums still had some hardcore tracks on it.

This is just patently untrue.

Kane is one of the greatest he just couldn't adapt...there's nothing wrong with that all rappers have moments some longer then others you can't over look what he's done for HipHop
