:whoa:

Read before yall neg.

As a cat that grew up in the 80's the first time I heard Kane I thought he was Top 4 (behind KRS, LL and Rakim). But, then I heard G Rap on Symphony and his first two albums and :lupe: Kane moved to 5.

Then the 90's hit, and it was like Kane became a shell of himself. The problem I have is, no other rapper had as big a fall off from their first two albums to their third.

I mean the guy went from Raw, Set It Off, Aint no Half Stepping to this

:cracklupe:

His next four albums had about 5/6 songs COMBINED that were good. Many of his songs were fukking unlistenable. This is from a guy that was a legend people!!

I know he fathered the styles of mad emcees. Spare me the history lesson, I lived it.

But being truly objective, right now, I find it hard for Kane to make my top 15 of all time. You can peep my Top 5 below. I'd put LL, Chuck D, Cube, Scarface and a bunch of others before Kane.

I know many of yall think Kane and automatically put him in your top 5. But be real with yourself, tops 3 out of 8 of his albums were good. That's less than HALF. He was hot from 87-90. The 90's he was pretty much trash and for most of the 2000's he was silent.

That's a hot 2 albums every 25 year average. :scusthov:

ALL the greats have a better percentage than that.

So people, it's time to admit, Kane is the most overrated rapper ever. This was hard to say...but truth hurts.

Didn’t even read. Negged off the strength off the disrespectful title :unimpressed:

Dude was washed at like 27 crazy

Fame f*cked Kane up.

Dude started hanging with supermodels and Hollywood b*tches and lost his damn mind. Naked photoshoots and all kinds of bullsh*t. He was still nice lyrically, but the whole Barry White of Rap thing killed his career. Badly!

Yup! That was seen as selling out back then.

But the real problem was that his music got mad wack at the same time. Maybe if the music was still dope, he would've survived. But you can't be making bad music AND acting up away from the booth too. LOL!!
