If Eminem looked like me or you he'd be Canibus status. I know it. You know it. Your mother knows it. Eminem knows it. Everybody that reads this post knows it.

Who is making a negative racist nonfact low skill alternative based dynamic like that.
The collective you are tho.

Eminem HIMSELF got interviews where he admits that he wouldn't be nowhere near as successful or got the acclaim he's had if he was Black. So he's wrong too, Art?

I dont know man.. Im not qualified to judge Em.. Ive only heard one of his albums in entirety. I think 95% of yall in the same boat Im in. His peers dont have a gun to their head to co-sign him. Its opinion and he has passed the test with a lot of great names in hip hop.

Some are, some aren't. At the end of the day, they are rap fans with an opinion like everyone else. I don't agree with a lot of what 50-something year olds have to say about pop culture.

Two things wrong with the bold.

BDK is not just a rap fan with an opinion, he is an architect of this culture and the art form of rap.
Hip Hop culture and the arts contained within are not pop culture.

Now him being who he is doesn't negate how you feel of course, but his take on what makes a dope MC is heavily weighted, much more so than a random 50 year old commenting on pop culture as you put it.

That statement disgusts me honestly, lol. And I’m not an Eminem hater.

Why do you hate it? Too early or do you think it's off base? To me I think it's a fine comparison if you put it into context.

Kobe, before he died while a polarizing figure was objectively considered a top 10-20 player of all time even by people who had plenty of criticism for his game

Eminem, who is polarizing figure himself is objectively a top 10-20 MC of all time and even some people who don't particularly think his music is jamming like that acknowledge that he's a noteworthy artist when you're looking at the history of the culture.

Comparing some white boy to Kobe just rubs me the wrong way fam. Lol. I mean out of all the rappers? Who’s Jordan? I mean if Pac is Jordan than Jay is Kobe. If Jay is Jordan than Nas is Kobe. And likewise. Etc etc. I just can’t see putting Em in that slot. Eminem is Larry Bird if anything.

Not gonna call Kane a c00n, but he's tripping because Kobe was most peoples top 5 even before his death. Is anyone even still listening to any of Em's old albums?:mjlol:
Top 5 consensus is generally

Jay, Nas, Em, Pac, Big

2 of those guys were dead long before most people ever heard Em spit.

Everyone from Madonna (I'm talking about the Canadian guy I refuse to name not the literal Madonna), to Jay, to Wayne to Ye has said as much about Em.

Em is largely considered top 5 overall.

Most Em fans from the early 00s stopped listening to him and liking his music the same way they used to though.

2 seperate issues.
