amex plat is garbage..i barely use it...its all about chase sapphire reserve

Meh. After that big intro bonus with the Reserve I put that shyt in my drawer. I have 5 cards with Chase including a heavily used Business Ink and I still feel like Amex values my 3 card relationship with them more.

For really big purchases where there’s some room for dissatisfaction I’d never trust Chase. They are not going to go to bat for you. I’ve had AMEX cuss out the Bellagio and get all types of comps and apologies for me for fukking up some as simple as late checkout. They also ate the charge on a camera that RED rejected for warranty work. Chase ain’t doing that.

Lastly - Centurion Lounge. When I need to have layovers I plan around Centurion Lounge access. The only time I pull the priority pass out is when it’s impossible to go Centurion.

NYC black coffee tough guys aka the Stoozy Boys
I can do the same off my profile, I have 4 accounts and rarely ever use my debit card. Your play is diff and you are shifting liability directly to your checking account which I think is foolish. Amex is accepted everywhere broke ngas don’t go

I'm in the heart of NYC.....you'd be surprised how many popular restaurants, hotels, stores, etc don't take AMEX.....either way, I'm good, Debit is literally accepted everywhere and there's always cash. Smart play > anything else.

If you’re undisciplined then debit is 100% the way to go.

If youre disciplined then you can 1) pay off your balance in full at the end of every month (plat card this is required, never use pay over time) and/or 2) take advantage of 0 apr intro cards, only buy things that you can pay off in full immediately. It’s free money. float your balance for 12-18 months and invest the payoff money elsewhere.

Both of those methods are essentially what you’re doing with your debit card. If you’re disciplined.

I dine out in NYC min twice weekly and have never come across a merchant that does not accept Amex for dining. I’ve been to hundreds of restaurants. Really have no idea how your coming across this frequently.

TYRONE GA!
Got a one way flight Tuesday. Finna try out this complimentary Priority Pass at the ATL Airport.

Anyone use the Minute Suites Priority Pass perk?
I already had Delta Sky Club being a Delta Platinum Sky miles member.

If there’s a KLM branded priority pass lounge I hear they are right under Centurion lounges in amenities.

unfortunately, there's only Delta Sky Club, that Minutes Suites in Terminal B, and another lounge called "The Club" in Terminal F. My flight will more than likely be out of Terminal B for Delta so :yeshrug: . Guess I'll try out that Minute Suites thing that I've walked past the last 15 years

Looks like you’re a little too early family. Centurion is building a lounge for ATL as I type this. You guys only have 1 airport right? We have 2 here in the H but Hobby is used for mostly domestic, southwest, and other low cost carriers and is actually really shytty compared to IAH our more international oriented airport.

Can I join the club with a Delta American Express Gold Card?:ohhh:

Just got approved, 1st Amex card.
All Amex product users welcome here breh :blessed:

It’s not a stuntman card like the Platinum but it will get you by. If you’re able to convert it to a regular gold which gets 4x dining I would advise that.

Charged it December 10 same day I enrolled in the credit for United. Reimbursed on the 13th but didn’t show up till today. I think it’s because I just had my close out date for them to line up my monthly payments.

So you get the credit when your monthly bill is due? And what if I pay my balance off as I go, should i not do that?
