Yeah same I always pay off my balance before the statement is over too
Amex doesn’t care they give you the points either way :yeshrug:

what happens if you don’t pay off the whole balance off?? Like it tells you that you can pay the minimum but you have a balance more than that? Penalties?

If it’s a charge card(green, gold, plat, black) unless you have pay over time enabled you have to pay the full balance. If not they block the card and tell you to pay before using it. Interest might be tacked on as well. If it’s saying you can pay the minimum you have pay over time on.
With pay over time it works like a normal credit card and you can just pay the minimum if you want.
you can keep charging these cards until they stop you.
it's not unlimited balance but it's pretty high imo



If it’s the other cards it works like any other credit card when you carry a balance.

I got the gold and it must have pay over time on cuz it don’t make me pay all in one shot even though I pay it all in one shot. I wonder if that’s a good or bad thing I have that option. :jbhmm:

If you qualify *edit and have it activated* they add all purchases over $100 to the feature.

Unrelated, Their aggregate breakdowns by user suck.

Just like any card It’s up to you and your control
i would personally still pay it all in one shot.
I’ve turned mine off
