About time he need to executive push this shyt through
He can bully pulpit that shyt, but if Congress does not act, it goes nowhere.
Would be over ruled by the Supreme Court
Congress backs the bill, they can specifically carve out "Can not be ruled by the Supreme Court". Congress controls the Supreme Court in its scope and reach if it wants to.
I'd end judicial review if I were in power.
Ditto.

Above the fray.
you want supreme court judges determining the fate of the country for generations?

Why not? If we are in here arguing about if a Presidential candidate is "too old" to hold office then why would you want 80-year old out of touch judges on the court?
.
"Expanding the court" & "term limits" were ideas thrown around ahead of the 2016 election, by conservative radio and talking heads when it looked like Hillary was going to become president.
Hearing it said during Trump's term from talking heads on the other side of the table threw me off.

Elections have consequences. Sometimes dire consequences. Trying to overhaul parts of the SC membership rules because of the election results is not something that seems practical.

Competency/cognitive tests? Yes. Term limits? No

If you’re not going to put a term limit on the House or Senate, then this move is just a waste of time. Revamp all of Congress and the leadership of this country and not just a select few.

Why would all the powers at be take power away from themselves?

That's not how it works though. Look at since 2008. Democrats have won the General Election 3 out of the last 4 times and Conservatives still have a 6-3 majority.

It has nothing to do with "winning multiple elections"... it's about timing... We tried to tell everyone in 2016 how important that election was but some people ain't wanna listen.
Black people deal their part. Blame hector, Maria and the PAWGS for swinging that vote to Trump

The only way Republicans can get anything passed is through the courts. The only way they get elected is through gerrymandering.

If gerrymandering is made illegal, term limits are in place, and it's easier to remove an unethical politician, you have effectively destroyed the modern conservative party. They will never win shyt again. They know it and they'll fight with any legal and illegal measures so they can keep scamming the public and tormenting minorities while pretending to care about America.
This post needs to be stickied. Real shyt. I been telling people this for years.

Dems have bad faith conversations like "if we pack the courts, Republicans will do the same", know that id they pack the courts and fix voting laws, Republicans will never get elected again until they put up somebody that actually cares about people. They can even be pro corporation, but 90% of the Republican party is anti people, that shyt would get deaded if they couldn't gerrymander districts.

Im in the gym so I wont look that up just now but: Article III, Section 2, Clause 2, also known as the Exceptions Clause.

Google that. Congress can bush judicial review. In new legislation they can stop SC foolishness.

As good as all this is including the other proposals he mentioned today like capping rent increases,

There's hardly a reason to believe they'd do anything.

See, now you being obtuse. You said
Would be over ruled by the Supreme Court
and I said they can carve that out. Its possible. That answers your first question. 2nd, PER LEGISLATION they can do it. They dont need to toss Judicial review entirely.
