The U.S. has never fought a foe as formidable and equipped as the Ukrainians. Name me one U.S. advisary that had endless support of weapons, Reconnaissance, financial backing, media propaganda like the Ukrainians.
It took Russia months to accomplish in Syria what the U.S. couldn't in Iraq in a decade. That's total annihilation of U.S./Saudi backed Jihaddist and 180 degree turn around in the war. Remember when Clinton and Obama said, "Assad must go". Yep, that was a decade ago and Assad is still in Power.
In 2020 when U.S. tried to carry out a Coup d'etat in Venezuela, it was the Russians that helped the Venezuelans thwart the Plan.
Speaking of the war, maybe if you take your head out of state sanctioned media propaganda, you'll realize the Russians are actually winning the war, though less efficiently than expected by experts.

The fall of Mariupol is a major strategic defeat for Ukraine and they will have to regain that foothold. At this point, I dont think either side is winning presently. Ukraine has lost positions that will be major as the war advances, and Russia has miscalculated their military might.

Far as what occurred in Syria, the US didn't go all in with support like the Russians did from my point of view. The execution was sloppy in Syria and in Venezuela based on previously engineered coups.
