A bunch of nikkas not from Chicago talking about what its like to live in Chicago.:skip:

Naw, this thread is about predatory social laws.... and people discuss these things because we've seen multiple times that it becomes a trend like gentrification or redlining or mass incarceration state to state....
Chicago is targeted first for Obvious reasons... if it's not obvious to you then, idk what to tell you.
..
But it's coming to cities way more violent than Chicago,

So Chicago Gang Culture - but not Mexican Cartels and Gang Culture? Which is rampant in TX.

Yes, Black people have fault - but music and the appearance of "mimicking" is not the same as supplying, aiding and setting up scenarios for violence to flourish.

Why is there no press on these Mexican Gangs and Cartels who literally put the guns and drugs in the hands of the same people they hate - while making major profit.

And without the stereotypes and bad press.

I think it’s important here to hold the Biden admin accountable the same way you’d hold the Trump admin accountable.

They came into power on the backs of BLM. And I need to know how this plan is consistent with that movement and those funds that were donated to the DNC.

Regardless of how you feel about the corporate side of BLM this is a big middle finger to the on the ground activists who have more solutions than “lock them up.”

I'm bout to get hit with the c00n word, but inner city Chicago is LOST. It's a rudderless ship.

What else can be done at this point? If this was a city of Arabs or Mexicans wilding we'd be on here talking about dropping a nuke on them.

Something got to be done.
The mayor has failed the city, it’s time for new leadership. Maybe Eric Adams can run for mayor in Chicago also.

Aren’t you the same people clamoring for open borders?

Mexicans let the cartels destroy their country, now they fleed to America to bring the same fukkery here. And black folk just fall for the bullshyt. They took over LA with the fukk shyt and they seem to be doing the same to Chicago.
Today, our immigration system is under greater stress as a direct result of Trump’s misguided policies, even as he has failed to invest in smarter border technology that would improve our cargo screening.

His obsession with building a wall does nothing to address security challenges while costing taxpayers billions of dollars. Most contraband comes in through our legal ports of entry. It’s estimated that nearly half of the undocumented people living in the U.S. today have overstayed a visa, not crossed a border illegally. Families fleeing the violence in Central America are voluntarily presenting themselves to border patrol officials. And the real threats to our security–drug cartels and human traffickers–can more easily evade enforcement efforts because Trump has misallocated resources into bullying legitimate asylum seekers. Trump fundamentally misunderstands how to keep America safe because he cares more about governing through fear and division than common sense solutions.

Trump’s policies are also bad for our economy. For generations, immigrants have fortified our most valuable competitive advantage–our spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship. Research suggests that “the total annual contribution of foreign-born workers is roughly $2 trillion.” Key sectors of the U.S. economy, from agriculture to technology, rely on immigration. Working-age immigrants keep our economy growing, our communities thriving, and country moving forward.

The challenges we face will not be solved by a constitutionally dubious “national emergency” to build a wall, by separating families, or by denying asylum to people fleeing persecution and violence. Addressing the Trump-created humanitarian crisis at our border, bringing our nation together, reasserting our core values, and reforming our immigration system will require real leadership and real solutions. Biden is prepared on day one to deliver both.

As president, Biden will forcefully pursue policies that safeguard our security, provide a fair and just system that helps to grow and enhance our economy, and secure our cherished values

:comeon: The main people speaking out are from Chicago.. How else would you know what's happening?
If they’re speaking out they’re clearly being ignored by the greater community. If they had been heard blacks folk should have been doing everything in their power to get rid of these gangs and end these horrific mass shootings. Now when the government steps in everyone cries foul.

I think the concern is how this will be used against innocent black folk in the future, remember they got highly advanced deep fake tech as well, if you think this is just about “gun violence” then you’re a fool

Innocent black people get caught up in this because...we refuse to separate ourselves from the criminal element.

BX, NYC
Detroit had over 300 murders in 2020
Chicago had over 700 in 2020
But Chicago had almost 3 Million People and like 10 million in the metro while
Detroit has around 600K residents.
That's why a place like Detroit is considered way more violent because there is almost no escape in most areas.
And there are probably 50 other US cities More violent than Chicago.
If chi town had 600K people it would probably only have about 70 murders.... that's how safe it is....
But because the Media loves the Trauma porn of the Southside so called chi raq areas and Hollywood movies have been made, white record executives have made millions off the corny gang songs, etc.... many folk have been scared and made the think Chi town isnt this Safe, beautiful, financial hub.....
Corny Brainwashing....
Not to say the violence isnt there but i do business with folk who live in Chicago and they don't even know it's bad based on where they work and live....
In Real top 25 violent city- you dont have that option.
Plus we have to ask.... there are cities that are ACTUALLY completely warzones with no outlets... so why isn't Jim Crow Joe and others focused on solving those issues?
