I do remember that during the beginning of the first term. Biden was a wild boy lol

Yep. That's why it's shocking me how well he's doing as President. Dude was a walking gaffe back in Barry O's first term.

But dude is doing exceptionally well. Really grew into the office :ehh:

I’m always surprised that he came back from lying about his college record and then popping shyt about it when confronted :russ:

I went back and looked at Biden's performance in the 2008 debates when he was running for president then, and it's jokes

:mjlol:

Serving as VP to Obama really did wonders for his image. Obama turned a well meaning but somewhat bumbling Senator into a world renowned respected statesman.

They're probably hoping that Kamala serving as VP to Biden will turn her image around too.

A major problem I have with Harris is how fake she comes across. As a prosecutor and AG she had a very clear cut, serious tone. And it worked. As a senator, once she wanted to run for president, she started this fake emotive shyt that just makes her sound and look like a clown. I understand that she's a woman and likely has to try to come off warm and engaging or else people will call her a bytch but...it's not working. Even in the debate with Pence, going in I thought she'd be serious and really hammer him. And while she clearly won the debate it wasn't the "cross examination" people expected/hoped for. Again with the weird emotional shyt.

At this point I'd try to just surround her with Obama people. Get rid of the CiS early next year and bring in an Obama loyalist.

As a few others have said this was pointed out in her presidential campaign so it shouldn't be surprising. She's been a bad candidate from jump but she was able to ride a lot of waves in order to move up the ladder. If the Dems are smart they won't back her for president in 2024 but they may have backed themselves into a corner with black women voters, and women in general.

He's doing exceptionally well avoiding gaffes cuz they're hiding his old ass. :mjlol: He's the least visible President our generation has ever seen. Granted, Trump is a hard act to follow, but Clinton, Obama, Dubya, were all far more visible than Biden. I thought it was me, but the media has even picked up on it.

How Long Will Biden’s Low-Profile Media Strategy Work? | Vanity Fair

Column: President Biden’s low profile is a bonus, not a burden - Chicago Tribune

Even with that low profile, he still has the potential to go off script. Trippin on the reporter with the little mouth at CNN. If he was as visible as Trump was, or active on social media, I guarantee he'd have us all :dwillhuh:

Kaitlan Collins: Biden apologizes after losing temper while addressing CNN's chief White House correspondent - CNN

Biden grew angry at Collins earlier when she asked him why he was confident Putin would change his behavior following their meeting.

"I'm not confident he'll change his behavior," Biden quipped. "Where the hell --— what do you do all the time. When did I say I was confident?"

"What I said was — let's get it straight — I said, 'What will change their behavior is if the rest of the world reacts to them and it diminishes their standing in the world,'" Biden added. "I'm not confident of anything. I'm just stating a fact."

Collins then asked Biden, "how does that amount to a constructive meeting?"
Biden responded, "If you don't understand that, you're in the wrong business." He then left the stage without addressing the substance of her question.
