This isn't surprising in the least. For all the talk of her being this cold and calculating person, her past record shows her to be a sloppy manager. Back in her legal days, her office always had mix ups/confusion/misunderstandings when it came decisions, and her presidential run ended in large part because she was unorganized and had no idea what the money was being spent on. Anybody who gave an honest objective look, could see this coming

VP has no power in the constitution. The power comes from the president, who historically hasn’t given much. But that changed with Cheney and Biden, who became the most powerful VPs in history due to the presidents (Bush and Obama) having full confidence in them. Biden got a lot of stuff done as VP and clearly is trying to give Harris similar power/opportunity.
Harris will be fine long term. The problem right now is that Biden is surrounded by loyalists who will not leak shyt to the press…so the media is focusing on Harris, who isn’t surrounded by loyalists. And she seems so obsessed with appealing to slices of the country that she can’t even operate or make sense when she talks. Too much pandering. She’ll figure it out.
Ironically her biggest rival is gonna be Mayor Pete, who will get a huge win/boost if an infrastructure deal is passed. He’s looking competent right now. But I don’t see America electing a gay person president.
If anything, that speaks volumes about what her “loyalist” think of her as a person if they keep leaking info to the process. No way will the current people in her camp ever respect her, so she’s going to have to clear house and change her ways for the next set of loyalists.

I don’t know whether her staff came from CA or are new people from DC. I know the article said her CoS used to be Bill Clinton’s post presidency, and was notorious for gate keeping him. Which is an important job for a CoS obviously so part of these leaks boil down to rich donors who are mad they can’t speak to Harris directly.
I’m not saying she’ll win an election just that she’ll settle into her job soon enough. They’ll figure out who needs to be in the office and who doesn’t. In terms of 2024, Biden looks and sounds fine so far. Who knows. If Biden makes it past that I don’t think Harris matters because she’s not talented enough to win (2028) and someone should be ready to step up by then.
Even then, that’s not an excuse considering the fact that this isn’t the first time we’ve heard about dysfunction within her circle. There’s something to it of what those people think of her (both current and past) that had no qualms about leaking stories about how she operates. Time isn’t going to change that. She’s going to have to change as a person or fact it just enough to win people over, which she seems terribly at doing. People think she’s a fake shady person a la Hilary and she’s done nothing to help the narrative or perception about herself.
The media needs a new villain and her personality is all the ammunition that they need for content and fukkery. That’s not going to change unless she changes.
