As large, vocal (and rabid) as the Bey-Hive is, I've come to realize that there is an even bigger "silent majority" that does not like Beyonce. AT ALL. So I don't find this news surprising, because it's very easy to overestimate exactly how popular Beyonce, and what the return would be on any of her endeavors.

Just look at what happened this week at the Grammy's, with Harry Styles winning AOTY over Renaissance. One of the voter's (anonymous) reasoning for not voting for Beyonce was that she "wins too much." However, Beyonce's never won album of the year, and yet every time she loses it's always a controversy because her fan base tells us it's an "injustice". Beyonce's never even had the biggest selling album of the year for any of her albums.

The silent majority doesn't like her, and they all use the common, vague reasoning for why they don't. Just check reddit. :mjpls:

Makes sense.

I'm not a Yonce stan....but she does seem to get a ridiculous amount of hate for someone that never does or says anything provocative/controversial (relative to other folks in music).

Something about just rubs people the wrong way. Taylor Swift gets hate but she calls out everyone and their momma in half her songs. Bey just wins awards and makes money but folks hate her as much or more.

Usually with shyt like that, there's an undercurrent....a backstory where the person is a complete azz to work with and treats people like shyt. She doesn't have a rep for being especially difficult. People love Jay (I think) more than her.

NO WAY I'd believe that if someone said it back when they did Crazy In Love. Bey was damn near America sweetheart but that shyt slowly went away.

Ironically if she was more "real" and had less filter, she'd probably get smoke for that too. Look at the smoke Bron gets for being vocal about shyt while MJ kept his mouth shut.

Maybe it’s the Dallas cowboy effect. You root for the team to lose because the fans are insufferable. Lol

I think Beyoncé fans are majority black women and flamboyant gay dudes. And like someone said earlier many white people see her as a threat. Unlike lizzo who has chubby whites women, gays, even straight dudes who probably rock with her. And she’s a safer choice.
Good point.

Bey is conventionally attractive, Black, wealthy, talented, married to a powerful breh with even more wealth. She's the head cheerleader. Lizzo is the Black friend they pair with the "hot" pawg in a movie...the diversity friend. Bey is the lead (in terms of looks).

Your wife would feel a bit jealous if you were in a room with Beyoncé.

But I’m pretty sure she don’t feel like Lizzo could steal you away. Lol

except her stuff used to sell out...so it's not an affordability issue.

her ivy park stuff looks decent - good, way better than house of dereon when that was a thing, but beyonce isn't a fashion icon. if she's not rocking a ballgown or couture dress to an event, everything else she wears and her fashion sense has always been :ld:
Her stuff was never selling out.

They are telling you that in the article.

It was scarcity marketing.

It may have worked for the first launch, but that’s it.

"I told my wife the spiritual shyt, Really works"-Jayz

I get the feeling her and Jayz are the type to practice all the religions so not to put all their eggs in one basket. But something definitely happened to poor Beyonce. At some point she was corrupted and is now being used as a vessell of evil. I dont know if thats anything spiritual or not. Women are recievers, and are easily utilized as vessels#AWomansNature. If surrounded by evil and thottery thats what most will absorb and put out.

But just in case it is something spiritual,a prayer has already been sent up. You can expect one ,or both of them to crash out shortly if the lord sees fit:respect:

her last release a year and some change ago with all the orange stuff sold out - i remember the campaign dropping, then a couple months deciding there was a piece i really liked, went to the Adidas site and most the stuff was sold out. now if they took her shyt down to make it look sold out, well they're the dumbasses who caused the loss

But when you put it into perspective with other artists like that Bhad Bunny dude it pales in comparison.
Just like her recent concert specials have all had low ratings outside of Coachella. Especially that black is king film.

A lot of those items that look like they are sold out eventually end up at outlets, which is more than likely what happened with the Ivy Park stuff. Look at a lot of those Jordan releases that "sell out" when they first drop to only end up restocking a while later and eventually ending up at the Outlets on sale.

If that was the first release then maybe yea but based on the article none of her collections are selling well.

But it’s marketing. If people know they can wait on a steep discount then it will hurt the projected profitability of future releases.

that's not really how outlets work...most brands are actually making specific lines for their outlets, it's not just overstock. and again, if adidas is the one that was playing around with its availability (taking it off its site early to send to outlets), that's on them.

it wasn't the first release, it was 2021, the first drop was 2019

I'm referring specifically to Nike and Adidas Outlets. That's where those companies offload products that they are struggling to move. You also have to remember that resellers were buying a lot of that Ivy Park stock to resell at higher prices and a lot of them ended up returning those products when they couldn't move them, which why you eventually see Adidas eventually doing random restocks of certain products like they did with Yeezy's.

If you don't believe it, look a lot of Ivy Park inventory on resell websites and you'll see that it's being sold at a major loss, which is reflecting how much of a flop this line is.
