Beyoncé’s Ivy Park line with Adidias flopped leaving a $200 million hole in the company's annual projections.

Maybe jay z and beyonce need to learn that centering your brand and marketing around other rich celebrities ain’t the move?

They did the same thing with Tidal, talking about artists making more money, and then they got deadmaus and rihanna on stage.
Then sold it and all those artists cashed out 😅🤣

People underestimate what kanye did for Adidas. Thats why they stuck it out for as long as they could with him.

Kanye/Yeezy at its peak was invaluable
Bro Adidas been around way longer than any of us were born and they still here. Them dropping Kanye is not about to tank the company lol. Kanye need to go sell more shoes somewhere else if his name means so much. Adidas selling out no matter what. They still moving trefoil tracksuits like it’s nothing. Still moving the old shyt.

Kanye’s name is dirt now, which is why he got dropped. If you don’t think him bringing the Yeezy brand over to adidas was a major boost to their image, especially in hype beast/streetwear idk what to tell you.

Yall forget how big ‘Yeezy’ was in the early 2010’s. Adidas had an ‘uncle’ image for a while before that

I’m definitely not taking away what Yeezy did. I think he did get out at a good time cause them shoes could’ve fell off at some point. Just saying people thought Nike was done when Yeezy left there but we see that they’re still here. Don’t mind me though cause I’m an Adidas Stan lol.

Half my clothes are still adidas, i even wear their ‘non-cool’ sneakers..but I can’t honestly say i was checking as much for them in the 2000’s, it was all Nike/Jordan/SB

I basically rotate two pairs of Ultra Boost and got a whole closet full of unworn nikes

Not necessarily. Certain celebrities like Beyoncé tend to put clauses in merch contracts that their clothes can’t be sold in outlets and marked down. They do so to protect their brand image.

That’s interesting. I’ve seen Pharrell collage and even some ugly ass Bad Bunny shoes.

I mean House of Dereon was more affordable and that didn't really take off like dat. Beyonce moves music, not clothes. Humans hate to learn from history though, so that's that I guess :manny:

My mind's eye can't help but seeing your wife's friend as type obnoxious and you with completely vacant eyes and wanting to be anywhere but where you are at right then, right there :pachaha:
Bruh!!

I like Beyoncé, and I’m a Hov fan/Stan but she make me wanna pull my locs out. Crying about these tickets now and how much they cost.

I’m glad she don’t read minds or she would hate me

As large, vocal (and rabid) as the Bey-Hive is, I've come to realize that there is an even bigger "silent majority" that does not like Beyonce. AT ALL. So I don't find this news surprising, because it's very easy to overestimate exactly how popular Beyonce, and what the return would be on any of her endeavors.

Just look at what happened this week at the Grammy's, with Harry Styles winning AOTY over Renaissance. One of the voter's (anonymous) reasoning for not voting for Beyonce was that she "wins too much." However, Beyonce's never won album of the year, and yet every time she loses it's always a controversy because her fan base tells us it's an "injustice". Beyonce's never even had the biggest selling album of the year for any of her albums.

The silent majority doesn't like her, and they all use the common, vague reasoning for why they don't. Just check reddit. :mjpls:

Angry crackers on Reddit. :yeshrug:

I will say this though, the disrespect Bey fans show towards JayZ is hilarious. They retconned their relationship into Beyoncé marrying down, and basically marrying some no name starving artist. I don’t know if the Stan’s are trolling, or it’s a running joke, but they act they’re not a power couple and that Bey is a one woman machine and the only one in the relationship with the power and influence.

She doesn’t have a majority non-black female fan base because unlike Lizzo they view Beyonce as a threat.
Majority of her fans are older black millennial women who don’t give a fukk about hyped up fashion, have kids to feed and a family to raise.
This. It tends to be the white women and younger GenZ black girls(the anti fatphobia Gen) who tend to be bigger fans of Lizzo. While the more traditional black women(older millennials younger GenX) who grew up with “traditional” images of what a mega star is “supposed” to look like(coke bottle shape, forever young) they tend to be bigger Bey Stan’s.

Maybe it’s the Dallas cowboy effect. You root for the team to lose because the fans are insufferable. Lol

I think Beyoncé fans are majority black women and flamboyant gay dudes. And like someone said earlier many white people see her as a threat. Unlike lizzo who has chubby whites women, gays, even straight dudes who probably rock with her. And she’s a safer choice.
No different than the black and mobile QB. The media and white majority of white NFL fans weaponize use his positive attributes of being mobile against him.
Black Excellence is always a threat
