He's a huge inspiration to him, I guess it's the (forced) connection thru creating high level "Art" that he ID's with, at root...on top of him being just ridiculously rich and being into overly-priced art pieces.

I never minded it, you're never too old to stan someone, lol, as long as the person is someone worthy of adoration and inspires you to keep growing, creatively, etc...

I agree with the second part of your post, but this connection Jay trying to make like his work was this super sophisticated stuff and he wasn't a purely capitalistic mainstream rapper that more or less helped usher in this hyper materialistic and shallow climate of hip hop we see today is amusing.

When you become a father, man. :huhldup:His kids still gonna hear Big Pimpin, and Super Ugly one day, do they own research and contrast it with the man they grew up with and no amount of PR will pretty up how he's truly depicted to them

Facts. But when we're young we speak/understand/imagine as the young do...I'd hope as his kids/all of our kids get older themselves they're able to understand that. If Jay-z was 40+ pouring champagne on girls and making songs about "Money Cash Hoes" then that's something else, lol.

Imo, the super exclusive high-art world is just an elevated level of being a vapid flaunter of money, lol. Jay-z been on that time, it's just at a higher tier now because the money is different. At one time it was Iceberg sweaters and Lexus's...then it went to Cristal and Bentleys...now it's 8-figure paintings and shyt like that.. I never looked at it as some highfalutin, sophisticated prestigious shyt...it's just next level ballin /materialism

This isn't embarrassing from a business perspective, it's probably an extension of Jay's deal with LVMH, 50% owners of Ace of Spades. they aligning themselves with the richest person in the world for a reason

I wouldn't be surprised if they have a stake in Tiffany now.

It’s not embarrassing at all, stuff like this has no overhead. It’s impossible to lose money.

Jay like 3 years too late on the freeform wave :mjlol:

Honest question. What’s the current wave at the moment?
:jbhmm:

Are us Baldies “in” again, breh?

In b4 thecoli starts acting like they are huge fans of Basquiat :comeon:

He was certainly unique and talented, but overrated, in my opinion. He was an interesting individual with an intriguing life. His work is not my taste or style at all though.

How come? I don't get it. Can you expand
brand endorsements are for entry level artists.

people with this level of caliber should have their own shyt, not endorsing other legacy brands and trying to legitimize themselves. Especially all this blackity black black white people hate us and wont let us in the building talk.

I'm just annoyed at this point.

This was the entire reason Kanye blew up at Sway. Sway was asking why Kanye just didn't do his own shyt instead of begging for white acceptance.
