I don't think Jericho was all that better on the mic neither. I was watching his 2000s attitude era face run, his promos were hot garbage. Corny as shyt.

Kurt Angle is a spot wrestler and Benoit wannabe. So he's massively overrated in the ring. Alot of the stuff he does doesnt even make sense..that moonsault spot and going for the anklelock without focusing on the leg all match. Just odd.

I was never that huge on Jericho. He's charismatic as hell but he always came off as too much of a try hard and too corny to me. In the ring none of his shyt looked real or like it really hurt. It was all too choreographed for me. So I'll take Angle over him all day.

Even go-go spotty Kurt 01' and beyond is better than the best Jericho. What Kurt got away from in psychology he made up with in fun/insane constant highspots.

I've always hated that logic. In real life such as UFC they ain't wearing down the leg or working on the neck before putting on a choke. Usually just beating the hell and weakening them until their defenses are down and they can slide on the hold. That's how I look at the anklelock.

Why Work A Leg For An ANKLE Lock? It’s Not A Sharpshoot Or A Figure 4

Jericho was dropping alot of heat in 2000 and 2001...the Cripple H match on ppv, the Rock match at No Mercy, the Benoit ladder match.

Are we including mic skills in this package or just in ring technical work?

Id rather start a company around jericho because of his promo ability

Jericho may be the GOAT in terms of gimmick/reinvention, keeping it fresh, i.e. the "superstar" aspects of it.

But on in-ring talent/ability alone... I don't know if ANYBODY was on prime Kurt Angle's level, at least on this side of the pond. Maybe Benoit? Eddie?
