Heath personified his character better. He truly made you forget he was Heath.

Erik made me sympathize with his character more. He took Magneto's philosophy but, applied it to real world issues.

There's nothing to debate about the Joker. The nikka was crazy. Erik however makes you question which side to be on.

You can't compare these two villains because their motives were completely different. Killmonger wanted to rule the world, Joker had no method to his madness. He burned millions of dollars just because. As far as the better actor, Heath so immersed himself in the role you actually forgot he was just playing a role.

Joker is a better villain

Killmonger motivation was incredible and backstory was well done but at the end of the day he tried to force his way to the throne and it worked temporarily. He didn’t change everything black panther st the end, opened up their borders because heir king didn’t want to make the same mistakes as past Kings and wants to help the world. A the end of dark knight, joker has corrupted the mayor and influenced ever more terrorism in Gotham and likely continued after his capture. Plus killmonger was excellent and is the greatest villain in a marvel film but he still can’t touch the nuisance and lunacy of the joker. Killmonger was more akin to clubber Lang then joker. Real motivation, letting his hatred lead him to success but then his same hatred leading to him losing it all so quickly.

Joker had a goal that he wanted Batman to kill him to flip his entire ideology on its head.
nothing else to see here folks this breh summed it up right up

:stopitslime: joker and it ain't even close. The hype had me thinking killmonger was gonna be on some next level shyt, that nikka was just alright black bane, went out underwhelmingly just like him too.

Honestly this... I was slightly underwhelmed after all the hype and praise of Killmonger all week. Good character and performance by MBJ but something felt "missing" and a little too rushed with his appearance in the film.

I bet there are a lot left in the editing room that would've fleshed him out a little more.

Joker wasn’t crazy, he was right.

Killmonger was planning to kill innocents and children, please stop this good guy talk :mjlol:

Breh killed his girl without blinking too.

As villains/characters they're quite equal in my book. Joker really zoned in on fukking with Batman, Killmonger never really lost sight of his plan for the larger scope .

Heath pushed the acting bit harder than Mike tho. Mike did his thing absolutely but Heath went out of this world with it.
The irony of Killmonger’s character is that he took in everything a lot of these fake revolutionaries hate about the white power structure. That seemed to be Coogler’s point regarding that character but a lot of these dudes don’t think that critically. @WMG the 2nd post summed it up perfectly.

Ledger’s Joker is the best comic book villain we have seen. He carried that movie and even won in the end because he drove Batman to retirement, for the police commissioner to lie, and the city’s hero and symbol also became corrupted and evil.

The motivation behind the next Batman movie was the mess that Joker created in TDK.

Ledger’s acting>MBJ

But Killmonger is probably the best Marvel villain we have seen on any screen and the second best villain we have seen. It’s just that Joker was so much bigger.

I don't think Killmonger was a villain. The Joker destroyed everything he touched, made everyone worse, just wanted to watch the world burn.

Killmonger had logical intentions and motivations, and in the end he actually inspired T'Chaka and all of Wakanda to be better people. Without Killmonger, T'Chaka never realizes his father's mistake, nor the mistakes of all the past kings, nor opens up to help the diaspora. And Killmonger actually ended up uniting the Jabari into Wakanda too.

Wakanda is an antagonist, not a villain. His presence made T'Chaka and the entire kingdom of Wakanda greater than it ever would have been if they had remained content and stagnant.

And Thanos is a idiot that would gain the ultimate power. Never mind the fact that with the power he gained he could solve the problems he faced in a more constructive way without trying to prove he was right. Even his daughter he claimed to love saw how dumb he was and tried to stop him.

Sometimes people wanna be right about the most morbid of things.
