Yea put kd with Felton and JR Smith and see how good he is? Kd is playing the best bball of his career and finally stepping up as a big time scorer. Melo been scoring 40-50 easily for years. Both are equal right now. KD obviously has more talent and a higher ceiling, but with Westbrook will he reach it? :ohhh:
The same players he won 54 games with last year? :camby:

:what:

KD averaged over 30 points per game back when he was 21. Something Carmelo has NEVER DONE.

KD has 5 five season where he averaged over 27 points. Melo has 3 and Melo been in the league longer.

Coming into this season KD had one 50 point game I believe. I never said he wasn't a great scorer or a consistent one, but he was never that Big Time scorer like other (less talented) players have been. My criticism of Durant has always been that he underachieved scoring and didn't have that same killer instinct he showed at Rucker park in the NBA.

27 points per game is nothing for him. So what KD averaged over 30 points one season. Kobe did that in his sleep. Tmac too. Iverson did it FIVE seasons despite being a foot shorter than KD. Don't let me get started on MJ. KD is supposed to be "one of the GOAT scorers of all time" now right? He has the talent. Lets see him do it. For now he's still Melo status (which shouldn't be a diss).... or Westbrooks sidekick any given night Russel is playing. :youngsabo:

Durant and it's not even close.... Carmelo couldn't dream of scoring with KD's efficiency.

carmelo being the best scorer all those seasons was the biggest myth in the nba
Barkley started it with "Melo is the best pure scorer in the league" bs in 09 and everyone ran with it. Lebron, Kobe, Wade, Durant and Dirk were clearly better scorers than him at the time.
