every big men isn't Shaq Oneal, shaq is one of the most skilled big men of all time. as far as a variety of shots outside of the paint he wasn't efficient. it's not a knock on him as a player it was his skillset he's a post player. in this thread we are comparing 2 JUMP SHOOTERS which is why were are utilizing FG%, eFG% as well as TS%. if you want to continue discussing shaq go that way --------------->
key word being skill,
scoring in the lowpost is the most difficult aspect of basketball.
a wide open 3 pointer is like a free throw for a professional basketball player.
you can take your time and knock down the shot
in the post you usually only have about 3 seconds to make a decision and the player guarding isn't sprinting from 14 feet away.
they are right next to you. between you and the basket.

Def. wasn't answered yesterday. Just found it coincidental that I was just discussing his inability to lead any team to a chip, and then he drops all those points. Doesn't change anything, tho.

To be fair to Melo, I don't believe there was ever a year when he had clear cut the best team in the league and just failed to live up to expectations. Maybe 2009, but even then.

Melo might not be a better scorer than Durant, but that nikka is definitely #2.

Knicks fans,

Serious question:
How confident are you that Melo returns next year? What's the word up there about his pending free-Agency? How do most NYers feel about him not committing early?
