Until now. Wait for him to go over your Chosen One cleanly.JBL, most of Punk's reign he was face
As a heel he beat Ryback, drew with Cena, won a 3-way match, got injured...that's it
JBL. Dude found a way to get EVERYONE to hate him. One of the last true heels.
JBL is a much better pure heel. Nobody likes a personality like that. He's fantastic at playing an a$$hole and you can like his performance and talent in doing that, but could you possibly like someone in real life with that personality? No. People will hate that personality for the long haul.
Whereas Punk's heel persona is too similar to his face persona. It has a lot to do with thinking he's smarter and cooler than everyone else, so a lot of the fans who liked that when he was a face will continue to like it when he's a heel.
JBL and its not even close. Some of Punk Heel run has been solid but its mostly out of place because they never came up with a good reason for him turning heel. Until Lawler had the heart-attack he didn't really say anything that made me want to boo him. Punk was actually correct in all his explanations so you couldn't get mad at him. Despite brainwashing from Cena, and random cena dikk-riding legends who would talk shyt to him.
JBL portrayal was consistent throughout his entire reign, as the arrogant blow hard, who had to rely on cheating to win. Punk spends 6 months as a honorable fighting champ, then all of sudden in August he's this insecure weakling that needs cheating, Heyman, crooked refs, and a damn task force to keep the belt. It's just dumb, he could've still been a heel and continue to be a competent champ.
jbl. but to punk's credit, jbl was working with a way better roster and quality opponents. jbl wasn't relied on to carry the show
