to his credit i doubt many of us on this site watched it right when it premiered.. anyone in their mid to late 20s would have been 10-13 in 1999.

if True Detective can somehow stay consistent it could tip the scales. But I'm not optimistic that TD can maintain the GOAT level it did in season 1

However, they have made some FOX-like dumb decisions regarding their shows (see Carnivale, Rome, How to make it in America, Bored to Death)
