Better Era of HBO TV Shows: Early 2000's or Early 2010's?

I want to say early 2010's. Game of Thrones, True Detective and Boardwalk Empire are probably the three best drama shows I've seen.

i still cant believe shows like Carnivale,Deadwood,and Rome got cancelled
expectations mightve been too high with all the classics they were pumping out back then but good lord did they fukk up big time
in recent years their problem has been passing on potentially great shows like Mad Men,The Walking Dead,Breaking Bad,etc.
I have a feeling Rome would have fallen off pretty hard. They were all out of the great source material. Season 1 was more or less Julius Caesar, Season 2 was Antony and Cleopatra. With no more Shakespeare it looked like they were probably going to do the birth of Christ. It would have been interesting and all but I don't think it would have been the same caliber as seasons 1 and 2. I'm kind of glad it just ended as 2 perfect seasons.

i know it's a sausage fest in here, but how dare you leave off sex and the city. that changed the aspirations of a lot of women...early 00's, especially now that so many other networks are putting in that work (netflix as well)

early 2000s...i dont even like any of those late 2000's shows...Eastbound started out good but jumped the shark quick for me. cant get into Game of Thrones and shyt like that.

2010s still has a significant chance to usurp 2000s
Sopranos and The Wire are two of the greatest shows ever. And they put in consistency over a number of years throughout the decade. So we gotta let True Detective and other shows get that same amount of time in before we start comparing. To me, its the early 2000s by a country mile
yea sopranos and the wire are my 1 and 2, breaking bad and boardwalk my 3 and 4. not sure what order each is in tho
