Poll is disrespectful. I'm a huge hov n X fan but cmon OP. Reasonable doubt didn't move the needle when it dropped. That shyt is not cohesive at all. Not 2 mention the mix is trash. IDAHIH is 1 of the most unique albums of all time. Changed the game.

Reasonable Doubt was a cool album to me when I first heard it…it felt like literally no one else cared about it tho, lol, and I was around all older heads. I appreciated it more when I got older. It’s become overrated but it is a really good album, amazing highs.

DMX shook up the whole music world with Its Dark…and it was fire. I’d say it’s a better album as a whole. Obviously RD is better lyrically

Jay and company put a lot of effort in re-writing history with RD. Lyrically yea shyt was bonkers; and it got some classic cuts....but it shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as IDAHIH

People based this on one single lyric on the blueprint lol

before the blueprint came out RD had classic status

so u got dudes saying jay campaign for his classic

Cause he did fool. 1 of if not my favorite hip-hop documentary was about RD. the way they broke down the lyrics all that.

In real time that shyt was not groundbreaking. Jay was an artist who had to build. He didn't drop scorching.

As usual, I judge by which one I still be hearing in the wild.

I feel like RD comes up more often.

DMX has said some shyt that I cannot vibe with. I appreciate his skills.

the Doc came out in 2007

the series was about classic albums lol

I'm saying dawg; when that shyt dropped jay wasn't solidified.

Biggie had ready 2 die.

Raekwon had OB4CL.

etc....

just like pac. his first album wasn't all that. doesn't take away from the legacy; but it is what it is.

Tell me the Jay song like Juicy where EVERYBODY from multiple generations know every word by heart
EASILY Public Service Announcement and 99 Problems

I swear this board operates in an alternate relaity when it comes to Jay. At this rate y'all got me sounding like a Hovenger because y'all are so ridiculous about it.

Not even going to entertain this. Maybe it's different certain age brackets or parts of the country. But where I'm coming from, this one of the most ridiculous statements I ever read on here :mjlol:

Dude seriously compared PSA to Juicy. I can't man.

Lol Jay z campaigned

Yeah, he did :mjlol: most ridiculous part about Hovengers is they mythology around him based on his business genius and being a GOAT tier hustler. But, they want to pretend he never leveraged his status or political clout to benefit his career :pachaha:

Yall realize how ridiculous you are, right?
