We all know that WCW had a fire 1997 :banderas:, but those who look back now point out the mistakes WCW made in 1997 that began the snowball that became WCW's downfall (Starrcade 1997 as a whole, Hogan politics fukking up Sting's win, not ending the nWo with Sting's win, etc)

On numerous WWE DVDs on the MNW, folks like Foley and PS Hayes (yeah I know :francis:) state that WWE 1997 product was better than WCW's a year before it reflected in the ratings.

All of us watched in real time plus now have the Network to refresh our memories. Looking back, what promotion truly had the better 1997 according to TSC?

WCW but barely. I lived through the MNW as it was happening and for years I would say WCW but for the past few months I've been going through some Raw's in the 1997 and it was pretty good. They had a lot of talent and the USA vs Canada was dope. Bret was having one his best years of his career ironically. It really amazes me that Raw didn't get a couple of wins in 1997.

WCW.. I thought WCW held it down when it came to pure wrestling. The NWO was cool but it got stale by the end of 97… WWE had better storylines though, especially after WrestleMania 13 when it got more edgy..

WWF, outside of the nWo wcw had a lot of boring ass shyt tbh.

There weren't even many storylines that year if it wasn't regarding the nWo.

WWF 97 as far as quality is probably the best year i've ever saw. shyt fell off after Montreal though :scust:
