Sounding like a college rejection letter...
Do you have children because those numbers are low versus the amount of cases that go unreported (and reported) of domestic/child abuse because children aren’t in school
Local Organizations Offering Support for Abuse Victims Amid Coronavirus Pandemic
Child Abuse Cases Drop 51 Percent. The Authorities Are Very Worried.
Covid isn’t the “pandemic” a lot of children face during these times. Lack of adequate nutrition and guardians who neglect and abuse their children sharply increased due to the stay at home order—that’s according to social workers I know. One of which had to actually take a child and house them temporarily at their own apt.
I get it. You aren’t a bad person because you want to keep children safe from Covid-19. What I’m saying is don’t be so short-sided with a lack of perspective of other damages to children that ARE occurring due to the stay at home/schools closing
Alright I gave you the benefit of the doubt at firstI do. The low numbers of cases occurred because schools weren’t in session. The lagging behind in attaining information, delayed development of a multitude of social skills and any other concern that comes with online learning pale in comparison with permanent brain/ organ damage or death.
If you are more concerned about little Johnny having offline human interaction than you are about him dying then you probably should ask for a refund on your classroom education.
If you really think sending kids to school during this pandemic is going to solve the “other damages” then it is clear that you have graduated from clown college
“The scientific evidence for the effects of closing schools is weak and disputed,” said Camilla Stoltenberg, director general of the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, which has advised Norway’s pandemic response
sounds more absolute than relative (based on Norway’s numbers)
scientific evidence for the closing of schools (no matter the numbers) are weak and disputed
All of a sudden Scandinavian countries are the example the US folks want to cite and follow but hate socialism. Like herd immunity worked out so well there.
When Norway starts to have Covid parties then we can talk.
Those are different countries with different numbers of cases which is my point. You are arguing a strawmanAll of a sudden Scandinavian countries are the example the US folks want to cite and follow but hate socialism. Like herd immunity worked out so well there.
