:smh: at most of the people in the thread voting D-Bry but the poll favoring HBK. In fact it doesn't seem he's gonna be able to overcome the difference at this point .scust: at this format. Give people that don't even post here the power to choose the winner brehs @2 Cold Taurus :francis:

Anyway, let's get to it

Ring work (10)

This is fairly east to me. Bryan is one of the top 10 wrestlers I've ever seen in my life. Michaels is top 30. Now, I've seen a lot of shyt from different countries and eras so top 30 is pretty fukking great btw. But D-Bry managed to reach a level of excellence that I've only seen from the truly elite guys, and he's done it for 20 years in different promotions against different opponents and playing different roles, that's some truly remarkable shyt.

Michaels honed a style that I'm not that enamored with. He was fukking incredible in that style and it's the reason why some many people stan so hard for him (specially when you add the WWE machine behind it) and he also could have some legit remarkable performances in big matches. He just falls short when you compare him career wise, in all promotions, with Bryan.

Another thing. Both are fukking EXCELLENT tag team workers. The Rockers have become underrated with time imo. That era boosts HBK's resume quite a bit.

Mic work/promos (10)

Both became more comfortable cutting promos the older they got, but I think Bryan took longer to reach a level were he could cut a money promo whenever he wanted. Now, I do believe is kinda overrated in this point because some talk like he's a legit elite promo guy when he's not really THAT good. All in all, I think Bryan will end up being better as he becomes older and gets to cut more promo. Right now I'll call it even or HBK with a 0.5 advantage.

Personality/gimmicks (10)

Similar to the last one, DB took longer to get comfortable playing any character and role but once he did, he got to a level HBK has at best matched. Michaels is way more charismatic, I think that's undeniable, but what both of them did career wise, in terms of character buidling, puts them pretty even. Shawn might be the more "natural" but being as over as Bryan was, and as hated as he was last year and in 2018, it's they type of stuff wasn't able to reach.

Overall rating (10)

Up until 4 years ago, this matchup was the classic "overall vs 1 big category" situation. In the sense that HBK might've had the advantage on most of the points except in ring - unless you truly stan and love Michaels, of course - were Bryan's ability was so big he could compensate the other factors. In 2020 though, I think we've seen enough from both guys to say they are pretty even in every factor that's non in ring ability. So when you add quality of matches, Bryan gets the clear upperhand.

Number of matches you like from each person

I mean this is not even close. Not even talking about "best of vs best of" matches. I think you can actually make a very compelling case for HBK. But when you add TV matches, random indy matches (non televised) and work outside WWE, Bryan wins by a landslide to me. For every match I iked from Michaels, there's literally at least 4 I could say the same about Bryan.
Nah..Shawn Michaels is not more charismatic. He's a overpushed product that bombed..fans raced to pick Razor over him and even Sid. Sid has way more charisma than Michaels..in case people missed 1992 and 1996..when fans were disgusted with Hogan over heel Sid and Michaels was almost in tears outside the ring at Survivor Series 96 when he got Hassan heat for being a garbage character and performer.

Michaels has never remotely matched up to even the Bryan face turn cage moment yet alone how he turned that crowd at WM XXX post Taker steak ending.. to hot again by being the BEST. Something else that became evident when a Chicago wannabe rebel was claiming to be the best and was treated as a afterthought at Rumble 2014 as he was tossed out like trash and the crowd immediately chanted for Daniel Bryan nonstop proving who was more charismatic between them as well. After he was beaten clean earlier that night, he shouldnt have been that over but he was too good for too long to be ignored.

Nostalgia is an emotion.

Logic is recognizing that anything one of them can do, the other can also do... but a certain person was limited by their inability to play any other character their whole career, as well as their inability to get over as a face as anything but a douchey, smarmy tweener... whereas the other person has been a face, a 'heel', a real heel where people actually booed them... and is top-3 technical wrestlers of his generation and he isn't 3.

Also... one of them didn't get a fade ran on them in a bar fight and have to take time off TV to hide their battered face because he was incapable of not being that douchey, smarmy person in real life, too. :yeshrug: Live the gimmick, brehs.

:hubie:Bryan ain't never take an L in his whole career as big as HBK's to a Navy Seaman:dame:
He chased a robber down who took that gift his father gave him. He could of been shot in a situation like that on some Vernon Forrest type shyt but he was go let someone take something his recently passed father gave him slip away.

OP close this poll. It’s too emotional for the haters. Please don’t add another option or let guys vote twice or extend the poll. The winner is obviously HBK. The people have spoken. Actually disable comments if you continue this farce and let the DB faction taint the contest.

where is the talent that Daniel brought up? Influenced and made Hall of Famers? Daniel is a star and technical wonder without peer. HBK is an icon that his talent and influence is so great that others benefit from it. Facts.

This is just blatantly false. Or are you trying to say early babyface Rockers version of Shawn Michaels is the same character as mid-90's HBK? And they're both the same character as the grizzled veteran who fought the Undertaker at the tail end of his career? And Shawn Michaels wasn't over as a classic good guy babyface the entire last decade of his career?

Really breh?

And let's be honest, when DB is a heel it's on some modern day smark-era "we all still like you, but we playing along with the show BOOOOOO" type shyt.

What’s madness is you guys still voting emotionally instead of using logic.

Watch this video and look at all the moves your current favorites are copying including DB. Also before the YES chant there was the DX crotch chop every athlete was doing that.

By this logic, if Chris Hero/Kassius Ohno is in this tournament he ought to get to the damn finals.

He should probably get there anyway being a walking encyclopedia.

Still wrestling like ZSJ or just starting their careers. One of the main reasons Nakamura left NJPW for WWE was to face DB :comeon:

These are legit my two favorite wrestlers of all time so I have no bias and can clearly say that HBK is on a level that DB isn’t when it comes to the history of the biz. DB’s story is still being written of course but he doesn’t have the legendary talent to go against like HBK did (He has wrestled a TON of great in ring talent/legends all over the world, just not on the biggest stages).

Also, Neither are as great as AJ Styles in ring but that doesn’t make him better overall than either of them. Prime HBK just had a level of swag that very few others wrestlers have ever had. He literally made you stop & watch whatever he was doing.
