Byran put over a black man to be the heavyweight champion at the grandest stage of them all. That alone gives him the edge when he could've easily been on some Hogan, HHH, or even HBK steeze. Even the build to match itself truly restored the feeling and reminded us all why we still watch this mess. :wow:

That being said, they're pretty even when it comes to classic matches and feuds. :ehh:

HBK been involved in the first ever Ladder match, the first Hell in a cell, first Iron Man Match, He brought out classics everytime he went in the ring

As good as Danielson is Im surprised hes even ahead :mindblown:
It’s because of the biased posters. Posters who the kliq. HBK probably didn’t give them an autograph and now they hold it against him. I wonder if HBK vs Hogan would have been a close match up.

I'm not sure how you have Michaels measured in the same space as those names. Especially when Bryan almost created a boom period before the injury.

Idk breh.. as far as which names belong in that category, to me something like "prime Macho Man vs prime HBK" is immediately obvious as sounding like a dream match between two icons.

"prime Macho Man vs prime Daniel Bryan" sounds.... weird. I feel like DB would seem like a jobber in that scenario.

Daniel Bryan vs Stone Cold? :patrice: I dunno breh, that don't sound like a WrestleMania main event to me.

Is Bryan as mainstream as Macho Man? Of course not but neither is Cripple H, Michaels, and a host of others.

I love hbk and have enjoyed plenty of his matches while growing up in the attitude era. Given us plenty of great matches with wrestlers much bigger than him like Taker and Nash and Sid. He's also gotten plenty of opportunities, especially in an era where they knew how to showcase all their different stars. Unlike the era Daniel Bryan has been in. Daniel Bryan would be the Shawn Michaels of this era if given the opportunity. And even without it, he's managed to have a great career. Not even discussing his size and strength cuz Shawn wasn't anywhere near the biggest, DB is a better overall wrestler. Both came back from serious injuries and went on to perform just as well after. Plus both have decent mic skills but I would give the slight edge to hbk since they were more liberal in his time so they had more character back then. I feel that DB has had better personality tho. And a more successful in ring career. Who knows how much longer DB has. Would like to see a comparison of just wwe time with length of Shawn career vs current Daniel Bryan as well as their respective ages thru out.

Dean Malenko is a more technically proficient grappler than Mr Perfect. Doesn't really matter, as an overall performer Perfect is one of the near-GOATs and Malenko ain't.

To me DB is cool but he never really seemed like a "star", larger than life, compared to other all-time greats like HBK, Austin, The Rock, Flair, Cena etc

He's kinda charismatic in his own vegan sorta way I guess? :ld:

Not that I have anything negative to say about him in-ring, he's obviously technically one of the best to ever do it. He's just not one of my favourites.

To me HBK has more classic moments and more classic matches :hubie:
I'm sorry but Shawn Michaels is not some larger than life star. He also got much better booking than Daniel Bryan.

No need to go into all the guys Bryan put over and how much of an ego HBK had back in the day.
