Op you should remove any commentary that is either dissing a group of posters or not stating facts. No disparaging remarks about the performers should be allowed.

HBK was a scumbag who refused to drop titles by being beaten cleanly.
DB went out of his way to make people who beat him stars.

(Also, this will be controversial, but... Bryan Danielson in his prime is a technically superior wrestler than Michael Hickenbottom in his prime, and it isn't actually close at all.)
Disgusting. Disparaging the performers.

No. I'm disparaging the man who literally faked injury so he wouldn't have to lose a title to someone else. That's not him being a performer. That's him being a tool.
It's ok to accept that your hero was an a$$hole, dude. Most people's heroes turn out to be just that. :yeshrug:

You're quoting someone who disparages Roman Reigns every chance he gets and blames Reigns for everything wrong with WWE. But his precious HBK is off limits when it comes to the same shyt.

Cuh really in the thread talmbout if it don't go the way he thinks it should, then it must be rigged, on the first day of voting :bryan:
Tomfoolery.

Sometimes people just lack self-awareness. It is what it is. But... in the grand scheme of things, disliking Roman's run but defending Michaels' is peak hypocrisy. Least Roman lost matches of significance to people who weren't his friends:sas2:

Folks love to trash the idea of The Fiend versus Roman Reigns but completely ignore the fact that other than Daniel Bryan, one of the few other guys on the roster that can actually get a good match with Bray Wyatt is Roman Reigns. Reigns hasn't even been in the title picture since he's come back from leukemia either.

Dean Malenko is a more technically proficient grappler than Mr Perfect. Doesn't really matter, as an overall performer Perfect is one of the near-GOATs and Malenko ain't.

To me DB is cool but he never really seemed like a "star", larger than life, compared to other all-time greats like HBK, Austin, The Rock, Flair, Cena etc

He's kinda charismatic in his own vegan sorta way I guess? :ld:

Not that I have anything negative to say about him in-ring, he's obviously technically one of the best to ever do it. He's just not one of my favourites.

To me HBK has more classic moments and more classic matches :hubie:

This is always an interesting comparison and seems to be super subjective based on my years posting here. Either you are a hardcore fan and put him in that upper echelon or you don’t. I don’t think Michaels fits that bill at all either. Outside of the short DX run (which didn’t age very well), he always had a mediocre character and doesn’t deserve to be mentioned with all time great characters like Austin, Rock, Flair, Savage, etc. who didn’t even have to wrestle to be memorable. He was the third best character in the Kliq at best and if he wasn’t so gifted in ring he’d be an afterthought.

As far as the topic goes, at no point in his career was Michaels ever even as close to being as over as DB going into Mania XXX. To me, regardless of how I felt about that DB character, it was obvious he was trending much more towards being the Cena replacement than being the next Michaels (who was an utter failure as a top face). And this was with the company not fully behind him initially :manny:

Talent-wise in ring, I think there’s nothing Michaels can do as a wrestler that Bryan can’t do but I don’t think the opposite is true.

I'm not sure how you have Michaels measured in the same space as those names. Especially when Bryan almost created a boom period before the injury.
