The introduction alone is so powerful. My moms took me to see it as a kid and I remember it like yesterday with myself and everyone feeling AMPED, knowing we were gonna be watching some piff. Boy, were we in for something....
I'm glad Lee made this movie when he did because NO WAY would this movie be made nowadays.

I love all of Spike's work, especially his black-focused work, but I think my favorite Spike Lee scene comes from one of his more mainstream movies...
You beat me to it but yea the older I got the more I understood it and it's still prevalent in our culture today. He captured it perfectly.
