I'll admit I quickly skimmed thru my ipod by the years so I did leave off as said Donell Jones, Erykah Badu, Voodoo. It's all for debate. Dude that said Boyz II Men II. I feel you that was the biggest thing. On Bended Knee, Vibin, I'll Make Love To You, etc. But that CrazySexyCool to this day still plays. Admittedly today's stuff I maybe heard an album once and moved along

Nah Jodeci's album was better

12 play blows jodeci's album out the water.

jodeci got some overrated ass albums man. they were more single-driven than anything.

that TGT album was slept on.

i cant even say it was slept on.

everybody seems to love it. they just didnt support it. they bootlegged & downloaded instead.

Solid list. This is just my take on some of the years though:

1995: D'angelo- Brown Sugar
1997- Erykah Badu- Baduizm / Mary J. Blige- Share My World
1998: R. Kelly- R.
2000: Erykah Badu- Mama's Gun /
1999- Ginuwine- 100%
2002- Tweet- Southern Hummingbird / Justin Timberlake- Justified
2003- Alicia Keys- The Diary of Alicia Keys
2005: Mary J. Blige- Breakthrough
2007- Lloyd- Street Love
2008- Jazmine Sullivan- Fearless / Anthony Hamilton- The Point of it All
2009- Alicia Keys- Element of Freedom / Maxwell- Blacksummer's Night
2010- Sade- Soldier of Love (off the strength of the title track alone)
2013- Justin Timberlake- 20/20 Experience Part 1
2014- Michael Jackson- Xscape / D'angelo- Black Messiah

*Don't really like putting JT as an R&B choice because he's a Pop artist that dabbles in R&B music, but it's what I was listening to. It is what it is.
