TELL ME WHAT WAS AS GOOFY IN 2 AS THE WIZARD MASTER IN 3 .. THE SHOWER SCENE MIGHTA BEEN FRUITY, BUT IT WASNT ON SOME GOOFY SHIIT.

The shower scene...any scene he had with his parents and with his homie. the scene with all the kids at the bbq and freddy saying they're his children now, the scene with that damn bird in the kitchen

NAAH, IF IT'S NOT INTENTIONAL, IT'S NOT CAMP. THAT'S THE DEFINITION BRODIE...CAMP MEANS IT'S OVEREXAGGERATED ON PURPOSE. I THINK THATS WHY WE AINT AGREEING, BECAUSE WE GOIN BY TWO DIFFERENT DEFINITIONS. I THINK THE WORD U LOOKIN FOR IS SILLY. I CAN SEE WHY U WOULD CALL SOME SCENES IN FREDDY'S REVENGE SILLY, BUT DEFINITELY NOT CAMP.

But by your logic, nothing can ever be anything unless its intended and thats definitely not the way art works. Not at all. Clint Eastwood says he made American Sniper to be anti war but a lot of people saw it and decided it was the opposite. The artist's intention mean little once its out in the public and the public will have their own interpretation. Just like if you walk through a museum and have your own idea of what a panting or sculpture means and it may be a complete 180 from what the artist wanted it to mean

BRO YOURE ARGUING THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE NOW .. THATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SILLY AND CAMP. CAMP IS INTENTIONALLY DRAWN UP TO BE SILLY AND GREATLY EXAGGERATED .. LIKE TOM ARNOLD AND ROSANNE IN FREDDYS DEAD. THEY WANTED IT TO BE AS RIDICULOUS AND OVER THE TOP AS POSSIBLE AND THATS WHY ITS CAMP. THE WORD INTENTIONAL IS LITERALLY IN THE DEFINITION LOL.

No I'm arguing art homie. There's camp in burtons batman which he didn't intend at the time but will admit now he can see those elements there and why people will interpret it that way and he's cool with it. You're looking for set definitions of something when art doesn't work that way all the time. I'm not disagreeing with the definition but I am disagreeing with the fact something can only be present in a movie or a painting or a song if the artist intended it to be there and if they didn't then it's not there. That's insane to me.

Romero didn't intend for night of the living dead to be a political statement. But it became that based on the time it was released and the main character being black and some of the themes he played with. By your logic since he didn't intend for it to be a political statement then it shouldn't be one.

Just because the writer and director may not have intended for things to be campy (and they've both said the concept is inherently silly so they wanted to have fun with it) doesn't mean there's no camp value in anything they did. Especially when the writer puts a dance scene in the movie with his main character dry humping his dresser with the intention of it being funny. He's said the movie you say is darker and more serious wasn't meant to be taken seriously. But you disagree with him and you found darkness in it and thought it was all played straight. So is he wrong then?

ITS NOT CAMP BECAUSE ITS NOT
OVEREXAGGERATED

SIMPLE SCIENCE G

YOUR ANALOGY WIT ROMERO IS OFF BECAUSE THE DEFINITION OF CAMP IS TO PURPOSELY EXAGGERATE SOMETHING FOR COMEDIC INTENT. THE DEFINITION OF POLITICAL STATEMENT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH INTENT.

part 2 was dope. it was the most believable one to. Had me scared to death over the school bus in real life. I picked 1 but ive watched 2 more then any of them, maybe just as much as freddy vs jason. I really loved F vs J. I actually wanna change my pick to that. such a dope series. There is no wrong answer. Im not familiar with new nightmare. Only saw it twice, seeing all the love its getting ill have to revisit it.
