I just watched new nightmare and dream warriors last night. I like NN more. I get why people like DW. It had some dope kills and aesthetic but i didn't give a shyt about any of the characters and didn't care for the plot.I'm kind of surprised New Nightmare isn't getting more love. I slept on this when it came out also.
I felt the opposite about new nightmare. I loved it until the final showdown. Awful special effects worse than previous movies. Got silly too. Still liked it overall though. Dope meta precursor to Scream

Wes Craven didn’t even fukk wit the 2nd movie. The shyt wasn’t even a part of the original Nightmare lore.
According to Langenkamp, Wes saw it as a three movie arc: 1,3, New Nightmare. That's his lore and the way he wanted to do the series.
