If you hate 2 from deviating from the original than you must hate all the sequels afterwards cuz the other sequels are much more in line with the more fast paced action of 2 than they are to 1.

Agreed, but I did say that I think that 3 felt to me like an attempt to steer it back a bit to the original after the excessive action of 2.

I’m not against a great action sequence, they’ve all had some brilliant ones, 3 in particular had that fantastic showdown on the bridge against the drone! But I want a spy film to feel like spy film!

It honestly depends on what works for you.
You like the original with its slow spy style or the John Woo Styled Bombastic action sequel or the jj abrams troll style storytelling of mi 3 which gave us a more personal view ethan than we had before? The beaty of the franchise is that they switched it up while maintaining quality. I like Ghost Protocol the best. They got everything just about right in that one right down to where they introduce the syndicate. 5 and 6 were flames as well.

I know the list will seem blasphemous to most but I enjoy the John Woo fukkery of MI2 tons more than the generic faceless blockbuster style of 3 and 4.

I agree. Maybe its because I saw MI2 at a young and impressionable age, but that movie had a lot of heart and style. It was also cool seeing a woman of color being a badass. I still think the Ethan switch up with the duct taped bodyguard is one of the most awesome scenes in the entire series.

3 - I used to have this as my 2nd least favorite.
1 - I have a hard time choosing which is better between this and GP
Ghost Protocol - Best team
Fallout - The first hour blows Rogue Nation away. Didn't care for the helicopter fight though.
Rogue Nation - Not as good as GHOST PROTOCOL but not a disappointment.
