Best Mission: Impossible movie and your ranking of the series?

Can't believe the hate 2 gets on here. It had dope action and the villain was dope as well. The plot I felt was also one of the best written ones. 1 and 4 are the most overrated to me.

1 had more of a mystery movie type of feel to it but the movie provides no reason to have any emotional connection to the team Ethan loses in the beginning. Ethan is on the run from the IMF but the movie spends no time giving you the feeling that Ethan is on the run the way Rogue Nation does. Movie's overall pretty dry save for the end.

Ghost Protocol is fun but the plot is way to abstract and the villain is practically non existent.

I'd rank them like this for now:

Rogue Nation has really grown on me since theaters. I loved the first 2 acts but felt it fizzled out in the third, but its a fun rewatch

I’ve really only seen each one once, but I just bought digital codes for 4 & 5, so I’ll be re-watching soon.

Right now I got: 6,4,5,1,3,2

Pretty crazy. This is the only series I can think of that gets better as it progresses.

Damn all of them was good ass movies, I honestly can't make a decision... I loved 2 because of John Woo and the helicopter jump, the whole entire last sequence, the motorcycle chase..

3 was a ton of fukkery with phillip seymour hoffman, although I was disappointed because it could have been better I was expecting the bad guy to go after all of them the way he was talking that shyt... Ghost Protocol simon pegg and hawkeye was nice additions to the team... Rogue nation was good but I figure it should have been a 2 parter, it ended too nicely for me... Haven't seen 6 yet... soon as it drops I'll download.
