You take a glance at the WebDev Reddit, plenty of people will be saying how they had to apply to jobs for MONTHS before getting a job.

Okay and in almost every other industry it doesn't take MONTHS to get a job if you meet the criteria / qualifications. Like healthcare, trades, trucking, sales, for example. The average person doesn't have MONTHS to sit around unemployed cuz these tech companies set their standards super high or have systemic racial biases. What do you tell a breh that's been applying to jobs for 6 months and has all the qualifications and meet the criteria? What? 7 times a charm? Hell nah. At that point you just leading dudes to failure. I'm not gonna let brehs waste their time learning all this tech shyt just to not get a job or get low balled and overworked (if they actually do get the job). Y'all "6 figures 6 certs" brehs always boasting about tech but never give realistic advice.

What y’all think about web dev? Is that a waste of time learning, and is it very hard to get into without a degree?

Water treatment/waste water...

No chance of ever being laid off, work 15 days a month, make more money when you get certs.

Pay is decent, state benefits and retirement, pretty chill for the most part.
Please elaborate more. What’s the salary or hourly pay rate? What are the certs?

This is a great job for people that didn't go to school. They have to hire minorities or at least that's how my boys got in. Start off as a meter reader and after 18 months you can bid to become a lineman. Take that money and invest it then you can do whatever you want.

Firefighting/EMS. Most major cities start at 50/60k, you can see close to 100k after a few years. Also you only work 2-3 days out the week so you have plenty of time to do other side hustle gigs

i don’t know most of these I see it seems as if they have a 2 year associates or a certificate in it. I remember back when I was a kid they could just graduate high school and go to the fire academy. From my understanding small towns/cities still allow that but but cities want the 2 year degrees.

I was considering going into fire fighting after retiring from the Army. But I’m too old and my body is now also.

Just yesterday you were clowning an old head for needing a ride home from work and here you sit, a young self-loathing no p*ssy getting f*cking dropout. And now we can add a hypocrite as well. Dumbass. Get your GED and take your ass to a dope HBCU, sit down, and STFU for four good years. You’ll thank me later.
Theres a reason why hbcu has relaxed entry for scores because they WANT folks to get a chance to enter higher education and grow once they get in the system. I got my GED and went to virginia state university and it took me 7 years to finish at various schools but i stuck it out. It wasn't easy but school and worked my whole time until I finished.
