It’s funny tho because normally I’m underwhelmed mostly by his production but on this one I thought he really brought his A game :blessed:
It's weird breh.

I don't think Fraud is objectively a super dope producer, but I enjoy a lot of his beats. Like, I don't think of him as a producer's producer or anything. He picks a lot of samples that have already been flipped a lot, and he re-flips them in the same ways. And a lot of times I think his drums sound cheap. But I still dig them. I wouldn't go as far as saying they're a guilty pleasure, but he does a lot of things that I think shouldn't work, and yet I enjoy it anyways.

OutRunners was one of my favorite productions of 2020.

Definitely true, but I have to say that Conway's ability to A&R his projects to make them more well-rounded and more versatile is definitely improving.

IMHO Conway and Benny are meeting in the middle. Conway was the better emcee and Benny made the better projects. But in the past year or so, Conway has been improving the quality of his projects, and Benny has been improving the quality of his emceeing.
I only seen that with one project and that the Kings joint and that drop damn near last year .

Why nobody mentioning When Tony Met Sosa?

I keep rewinding that. Love the horns by Fraud on that one. That beat really stands out from the rest. I dunno why it keeps reminding me of the Cosby show lmao

"My heros in federal sweatsuits and New Balances" :hhh:

"I pray for blockboys whose phones do 1500/Just to turn their shytty pumping into crispy hundreds" :picard:

I like it more than Burden of Proof

100. I'm with you.

There's definitely some joints on God Don't Make Mistakes that have either scratch hooks, sample based hooks, or no hooks (Lock Load, Piano Love, You're The One, Cocaine Paradise, and John Woo Flick). I know he said he might get a female vocalist to sing a hook on the album's title track (it's on youtube wrongly titled as The Cow 2). The hook on Stress sounds dope. It reminds me of some old 50 Cent shyt.

Conway's hook game definitely ain't like Benny's. And sometimes when he does the 50 style half-singing on the hooks I like it (Serena Venus, Gold BBS's, and Everything But Jesus) and sometimes I don't like it (Lemon Squeeze, Trump, and Losses to Blessings)

I'd like to see Conway develop a hook game that doesn't involve the 50 style singing.
Yo that’s my main gripe with Conway is his hooks tbh. That Lemon Squeeze hook almost ruins it for me that shyt is terrible. He has some other wack hooks that ruin great songs. I just hope he switches that shyt up for this release. And I hope he drops it April 2nd

What’s crazy is Reject 2 had some really good ones (Wraithful, Air holez, Salute me) but he just lost it for a bit after that.
Piano love and Luger are like the only ones that I’ve loved since

This is mid. I like 3-4 cuts. Not impressed with some of the beats. Benny has to expand his subject matter badly. Verses are still dope in a sense but they're almost repackaged verses from Tana Talk, Plugs 1, and Burden of Proof. Add a story, a song about a fun night on the town, tell us about Buffalo a bit more in depth outside of the dope game, etc. Gotta move past the Pyrex talk on a few songs. Benny and Conway is neck to neck imo

When nikkas said they need less trappers and more poets
I kept talkin to hustlers that's more heroic
It's a difference when you rise out the ghetto, come back and grow it
The game broke my heart in three places, I never show it
Close my eyes and the voice in my eardrums tell me fore the Feds come
To turn these bread crumbs to a hedge fund
I just pressed play and Benny is already spittin that shyt
:wow:
