This album is solid. No real surprises but he did his thing and the production is good throughout
agreed.

I will say, it seems like Benny got Hit to give one sound and Alc to give another sound. It's not a Slippin' Into Darkness situation where Hit and Alc were on the same vibe on the 2 different beats, where they each made a beat where they both were in the soul sample lane.

So, I think on this Benny album that it makes it sound a little more disjointed and more like a paylist to me, because he got Al to come through with the darker and more sinister punchy drums and hi-hats with the synth and spacey out samples sound. And he got Hit-Boy to come through with the energetic soul chop sample sound.

It almost sounds like this was meant to be two different albums sonically that were mashed together. The individual songs are good, but I'm just gonna have to get used to them thrown together.

Most consistent rapper since 2018
I'm not mad at this take. I don't know that I agree, but I think he's top 3-4 most consistent since then.

As much as I love Boldy James and Nas (likely my other 2 picks for most consistent since 2018, I think) I really like that Benny only drops every couple of years. I wish more artists didn't drop so many projects all the time.

Gibbs is right up there too. Fetti, Bandana, Alfredo, and Soul Sold Separately all dropped from 2018 to now. Gibbs is also one that doesn't over saturate the game.

Track 5 - "TMVTL" :whoo:

...three beat switches (even a 4th beat at the very end). First two were the best, but all three were heat and fit the song. Tracks like this is why I'll always check for every Griselda project

Edit: of course it was Alc...who else could make 3 fire ass beats for one song in 2024

no doubt. Also one of his best songs. I liked the 3 different stories and each beat getting kind of weirder as they went on.

"One Foot In" as soon as the beat dropped I knew it had to be some trash ass hit-boy. I was nikkaz would stop fukking w/ him. His beats are generic af...some background of NBA 2k loading screen type beats :camby:

All the songs I've liked were the Alc produced tracks...all the tracks I didn't really care for were hit-boy

Big Tymers was straight tho.

Alchemist did his thing :yeshrug:

First impression but overall I don't like how uneven this sounds with the production. The two producer thing worked with Al & Daringer because their styles meshed. This feels like Benny said let me satisfy the Griselda fans with Alchemist and satisfy Def Jam with Hit Boy. It's not cohesive.

Not feeling Bron, Pillow Talk, and Big Tymers at all. Big Dog still got that wack ass hook. Couple other songs are okay and I'll see if they grow on me.

TMVTL is easily the standout.

Conway bodied his verse.

I don't see any of these Hit Boy songs doing well commercially which is funny because he went platinum with Johnny P. Why wouldn't you save that song for this album or just hold TT4 for Def Jam? I don't get what his plan was.

alchemist is 5/5 on this project. he doesn't have a weak track on there. the one I like the least is the joint with griselda and that's only cuz I don't like westide gunn.
