The Bucs didnt break the bank for any of them, including Brady and had a strong Oline and defense. Thats what you cant try to follow because you dont have as good of an overall team. shyt the Bucs been in the playoffs the last 2 seasons with skeletal remnants of that squad while Cincy missed it with the dudes they just cashed out meaning help aint on the way.

Eagles got the best roster in the league. Their Oline and Dline are dominant. They can win games with Hurts passing for < 200 yds.

I dont think Kupp had even been paid big money yet and Odell wasnt making big money either.

Meanwhile we have seen the Bills and Ravens make chip games the last 2 years without even a number 2 WR, led by their elite QB and defense. I mean the Steelers been in the playoffs the last 2 years with a flabby Russell Wilson as their best QB.

Putting all that money into one aspect of your team when you werent good enough to make the expanded playoffs before they got paid doesnt make any sense.

I'm actually not taking into account that the salary cap went up $25 million this season and is expected to get to $300 million the year after.

Still this is a bad allocation of resources..

You have a great QB and a great WR. You do not pay the 2nd guy as well when your defense is terrible.

They had Tee and Chase last season and didn't make the playoffs. Now Chase is the highest paid non QB and Tee is getting top 5 WR money:mjlol:

Lamar is 10-2 vs Cincinnati with Great Value WR's.

They're about to pay Hendrickson too so probably 70% of the cap will be on 4 players.

They did have a choice as teams were trying to trade for Tee the last two seasons. Could have moved him and drafted a cheap replacement.

You have to extend players as soon as possible. You wait an extra year and the market goes up which forces you to pay more.
