When do you consider someone strong far as benchpress go?

I know most ppl consider 225(2 plates) the start of having good strength.

yea I'd say that 225 seems to be that "standard" for being an above average lifter. 225 is actually my goal right now(not 1 rep but a full set)

but it all depends on your size/weight/height,etc. imo

I mean if you 150 and you are lifting 225 thats a hell of a lot more impressive than some dude weighing 200+ and doing it

I'd say if you are doing 1.5x your own body weight then it would be considered a pretty damn good bench press

but lets bring it back one sec..

How many ppl on here can actually bench their own body weight?

I got :ohhh: numbers on everything but bench pressing. Most I've done 225 was like 10 times, but I'm 215 though. :manny:

Using that logic you know it basically fits for you too though. I think its impressive for most people that are just lifting regularly because you see it but its still not the majority of cats out there doing it

You damn near 200 talking like that is a big difference you get no props for that stop it. Like someone earlier said I could see if you were like 150 or so but basically only 25 lbs lighter FOH with the props lol

Bruh, the difference between someone being 225 pounds mostly muscle and 196 mostly muscle is a HUGE difference, besides I never said it was impressive but 12 reps at 225 for 6'1 196 pound guy with low bodyfat is nothing to scoff at.

You gotta know ya shyt bruh:umad:

Relax guys.

Once you start working in that 220lb range it's good. Once you get into that 265lb you on the door of being a beast.

**Working** in that range. Not a 1 rep max. 5x5, 8x3 whatever, 8-10 reps. I think i'm just short of that at 220lb. I can bench 1.5x of my weight though.
