He loves money. And he got paid to do nothing.

Why wouldn't he do this? There is no consequences

Well if he loves money I hope he knows this will be last big NBA contract, possibly his last ever contract.

I hope he saved his money otherwise he's gonna be on the nightclub host circuit

I never seen a guy destroyed his career intentionally like this

1st pick, max contract, dating famous girls…to pretty much the most shyt on player in history like nobody has a good thing to say about him

I think about a guy like Brandon Roy watching a player just not even want it just wasted talent
while he can’t even play

He just doesn’t love basketball

Back injuries are no joke.

Rich said he’s bad for the brand. It might really be a wrap for breh.
He cashed out knowing shooting with the wrong hand was never gonna work and he had no desire to rebuild his shot

It's only a shame because I remember guys who were really good but because of grades or injury or just being in the wrong place took away their chance to play in the league

But here he is posting vids in the summer
but not actually working on his game with a 6'10" frame

Yall talking about back injury make it sound like " it's spinal"

his back must be broken like Tyson said

As someone who has interacted with Ben while he was in Philly, he is legit weirdo and I partially blame his parents for coddling him which shows in the one and done documentary. Add to the fact that he really lacks self awareness and you have a recipe for disaster

I wish him nothing but bad luck going forward and he will never be the player he was in Philly

Ben’s brother was prophetic in that documentary. Before Ben went to LSU, his brother said something along the lines of that he was really concerned at how Ben would face adversity because Ben grew up with such a privileged life where nothing bad ever really happened to him. It’s like he knew Ben wasn’t built for the mental grind of being a top athlete.

Ben doesn't like to be criticized by people close to him. He keeps his circle very tight for that reason

When he got drafted, he didn't have the pressure a regular number 1 pick would have because he had Embiid next to him which you could say has contributed to his mindset of not wanting to be a better player. He attempted jumpers in his rookie season more than any other season in his career. He basically stopped shooting his 2nd year and beyond because he felt like he could succeed in the NBA without it

Him passing up that point blank range dunk, the bullshyt excuse he gave as to why he did it, along with him telling Philly media " I am what I am", I knew there was no getting through to someone like him. He was only 24 at the time he said it

Ben Simmons is the biggest waste of athleticism and height in NBA history.

I don't know who he surpassed in that area. Off the top of my head, I remember people saying that Derrick Coleman and Rasheed Wallace had the potential to be greater than they were. But Ben Simmons is far more pathetic than those guys ever were.

Yeah I thought it came across badly. I only meant to say that Sheed could have been all-time great, and he fell short of that.
