Doc, Embiid and philly gave him a very long grace period before they started shytting on him and the only reason they did was because he didn't show the WANT to improve and realize his potential.

You're right however everyone in Philly made it seem like all of their woes and postseason failures were on him.

The Sixers put all that weight on him (although he's partially responsible). I feel like Joel was never really a good friend to Ben which is probably what hurted him more than anything, because he and Embiid were supposed to be the cornerstones of the franchise but Joel and the organization treated him less than equal.

I like Embiid he's a great player but he doesn't come across as a good friend in the locker room and only cares about himself and how he looks (throwing Ben under the bus helped people overlook his issues for them losing a lot during that period) kinda unrelated but probably one of the few reasons Harden decided to leave after 1½ seasons.
