I'll bet one months pay Affleck tried to convince them to film Gotham in Boston as part of the negotiation process.

Terrible decision. They should of went with a young and up and coming guy. Are you telling me they are about to build a franchise around Ben Affleck as Batman? Don't get me wrong, Ben has definitely improved as an actor over the last 10 years but I thought he was going to pretty much be directing. But they didn't sign Ben just so he do one movie. They are literally making Ben the new Batman with a trilogy planned. This is crazy. I can't even hate on Ben, he really is having a 2nd career. But I saw "Daredevil" and he wasn't a good superhero.
I can see him as Bruce but not as Batman. He seems to goofy for the role. He has to be serious. Keaton was the better actor that's why he pulled it off. Kilmer wasn't that bad himself. Clooney was a disaster. This feels like Clooney terrory. They should of went with someone younger so they could start a new generation. Getting Ben Affleck? They might as well paid Bale 50 million and kept him for the Man of Streel Sequel and the Justice league. But don't get it twisted, this is going to be huge cause everyone is going to wonder what Ben is going do with the role. He is coming off winning an Oscar. Overall I hope Ben proves me wrong but I think it wasn't the right move.

Im telling y'all their doing this with express intent of having dude direct Justice League. I doubt their thinking new batman trilogy or anything like that, their fast tracking the fukk outta this JL movie. It's the ONLY reason their shoehorning Batman into the MOS sequel in the first place....

he was the GOAT, WB wanted Affleck to not only direct but star and play a superhero in a Justice League film, that character was probably Batman, they've probably had in the frame for a while, he'll probably do Justice League after this. WB should have just gone for an up and commer like they did with the GOAT Bale instead of getting a big Hollywood name, just reminds me of the Clooney and Kimmer castings. Anyway nerds raging, becomming suicidal and lodging petitions just means that Affleck will knock it out of the park and give us a very good performance, however he wont be better than my nikka Bale, especially in the Bruce Wayne role.you guys worry too much
