Have you ever been to university setting with a lot of black people? I have, and let me tell you, the Obama types, nikkas that stay in class, talk eloquently, and have a good future, weren't being checked out by the fine sistas that have bodies of Rihannas or the looks of Beyonce. THey were going after the thugs who sit in the cafeteria and ween't even enrolled, or the jocks. Hence maybe why Obama, in his formidable years were only seen with white women. Hence why a lot of these young educated black men having "problems" per se of bw's choices of men when he was on the come-up, all to be turned down by thugs and jocks who turned them out and ran through them.

this goes back to a post i made earlier in the thread about the lack of fathers in the household....

young brothas never learned how to be men...so they take on a hyper-masculine persona (ie thug)....young sistas never learned what to look for in men so they gravitate to thugs...other young cats see that this is what women like so they fall right in line....cycle goes on and on

But they don't have to, because he will get laid regardless. It's the Obama types that are missing out on the so-called bad ass black chicks. He can get a regular nerdy chick or a regular black chick who has a father if he has enough "swag" along with his intelligence. But the "Rihanna types" (who has her father in her life, so what does that tell you?) and the other hoodrats in class will pass him up for six foot four tall DeAndre with a nice crossover who will smash and dash, then she will blame the dudes like the nikka who stayed in class for passing her up and not dealing with her attitude and b*stard child by calling him "weak" and not handling a "strong" black women.

Race aside, by portraying an image of a home wrecking whore for one thing. Sleeping with a married man is NOT a positive image for black women, no matter WHO the man is.

Especially since a lot of black women claim to be Christians, which goes against their Christian values.

One chick on here even said if I was to cheat on my husband it would be with someone I worked with for years and gradually grew feelings for and became close.

Why are so many of you concerned with feminism? Bottomline, I don't care how staunchly feminist a woman is, she WILL submit to a man who she deems worthy. Look up hypergamy, y'all think there's a black woman out there who wouldn't quit her job to clean and cook for a Barack Obama type dude?

Here's the quandry, does a white dude have to be George Bush-esque in order to receive submission from a white woman? Does a Mexican have to be Jose Calderon-esque to receive submission from a Mexican woman? I think you already know the answers. But just to blatantly point it out, no, they don't.

I can understand black men having to be two, three, even four times as good in the world to get the same thing that an equally-equipped white male would get. But having to do that in his own home? Among his own women? Playa, that's a very slippery slope. No other man has that burden of proof with his woman. If if we do have that burden of proof, then what does that say about the way we're viewed in our own home?

I'm not stating this because I am coming from a angry black man who hasn't been submitted to by black women. Quite the opposite. I've actually had no issue with black women submitting to me and being on some Stepford wife tip. Probably because I fit your statement of an Obama-esque guy who "from the bottom and now we here"-grew up on the wrong side of the tracks, went to college, worked jobs, now I'm in corporate world where I'm of a handful of 20-something black dudes in a sea of middle-class white dudes.

So, I understand what you're saying. But since I'm concerned about the state of my people, I look beyond just me and guys like me. What about the dude who's a plumber? What about the dude who's a construction worker? What about the dude who works two $10/hr jobs but works 14 hour days, 6 days a week so he can provide a nice lifestyle for his family? Don't they deserve submission from a black woman too?

Don't they deserve a hot plate waiting on the table after work? Don't they deserve their woman to treat them presidential even if he doesn't have the same status? Doesn't he deserve his woman to brag to her friends about "how hard Jerome works for his family"? Oh, but he's not Obama-esque, so he should get whatever he gets.

Let's be real here, a white dude doesn't have to be presidential to receive submissive behavior from a white woman. As long as he's handling his business, then he gets it mostly. And even with some of the same "black feminists" we're talking about, who would expect a black man to damn near give State of the Union address at the dinner table to justify her cooking, that white guy would get that same submissive behavior without him having to be Obama-esque or Bush-esque. The burden of proof is simply not there.

When it comes to the issue of "black feminism", my main issue with it is the direction of the grievances and finger pointing. It seems, from the glimpse that I have gotten of it through various sources, to simply be about trying to imitate the feminism created by white women. Where white women took their grievances regarding their place in the society to the people who controlled said society, their white male counterpart. And so, black women copy and paste the same thing and state their grievances to black men.

Here's the issue: black men don't control societal forces like white men, so the copy and paste tactic does not work. The issues that face women in this society, be those white or black, are created by the white male who controls the resources and access to those resources en masse. Seeing that many of the black women who are proponents of black feminism are intelligent and well-educated, I am sure they know this fact. But instead, they either want to play "pin the tale" on an already easy target, black men, or they're simply too afraid to directly challenge that white male power structure that is the TRUE cause of their issues.

Also, most black feminists know, whether they admit it or not, that white feminists don't care for their issues and will not take them to the table with their own. The reality is, white feminists have always used black women to gain numbers as a strategy and then got rid of them when not needed anymore. And since many black women know this, it becomes a quandry when trying to rally with white women against the white male power structure. Because even if you and a white woman are facing the same white patriarchy, that white woman will never side with you against her man. Theirs is a family dispute, yours is an outsider talking sh#t.

So, what does the black feminist do? Well, in her frustration, which afflicts so many black people, they turn inward. They blame black men for the same things that white women blame white men for KNOWING that the two situations are NOT the same. Why? Because them blaming black men is acceptable...there's even rewards and accolades for it. While blaming white men comes with consequences and repercussions (loss of job, loss of access to resources, etc). Black women, due their experience in this hemisphere, have learned who they can attack and who they cannot...through no fault of their own I might add.

Regardless of the quandry that black feminism faces, I careth not for their woes. I will not and do not support an ideology that directly challenges the importance, necessity and rightful place of the black man within society and especially the home. It is because I know why black feminists attack black men that I have no respect for them, their treachery or their plight. Furthermore, I will continue to lambaste and denigrate "black feminism" until I see consistent effort from black feminists and black feminists publications to bring their grievances to the rightful culprit, the white male power structure.

Until then, I say "let them cake" and gorge themselves on it.

And why should he "stay within his lane"? Should'nt the Obama type should have his pick of women? I personally see bummy white men, hispanic men, and even Asian men with women of his own respective race that would be considered "PAWGS" and "dimepieces". I don't see that with black men to the extent as other races of men. And as @Hacksaw Jim Thuggin pointed out, a lot has to due with the women gravitating towards the bottom of the American social totem pole as far as men go. But in the black community, those same men are coveted by our women. It shouldn't be like that. We got it all backwards.

So once again, people should stay in their lanes. If you're a 5-7, you can't be expecting to land a 9-10. If ppl would just accept this, there'd be a lot less frustration and broken hearts.

That is bullshyt these girls know the good guys from the thugs. The thugs are just fun and the good guys are boring. As I said, i am going from MY OWN PERSONAL experiences, hence why I said PERSONALLY when I said that. What you see NYC ain't the same as what I see in DC. Or Denver. Or Atlanta.

Black men will have to be twice the man for a fine nonblack women to take notice. He will have to have some type of status for them to take note on a SERIOUS level. While at the same time she will lower her standards for her own men.That's the way it SHOULD be. That's why I see all these IR couples with the black partner being physically waaay above their cac partner.
