Objectively, it can be argued that life without the responsibility of children is more liberating. However, I'd say that a life in a relationship (still without kids) with a woman whom you trust and meshes well with you, will always trump the single life.
This assumes you're not the type of man who "needs" a variety of women. For many, constantly dealing with new women and having to vet their intentions could be far more stressful than having a woman you know, you trust, who shares your goals & interests, supports you emotionally/physically, who also has a good income, and you don't have worry about strapping up. If you feel like you have to constantly chase/have new women, this ideal mate will never satisfy you, but if you find this good woman, what else does the single life offer?
