Blood of Heroes. A very obscure post-apocalyptic movie about a wasteland "football" kind of game. Rutger Hauer was in it and I think Vincent Dinofrio

Plot sounds a lot like the novel Brave New World as well. There's a lot of those guy-escapes-dystopia movies. Gattaca, THX1138, Equilibrium, Fahrenheit 451, etc.

Remaking classics is pointless. Id remake films with great concepts that didnt nail the execution.
