only women i know who wear/wore weave to protect their natural hair only wore it after they did the big chop or just began going natural.
they dont continue to rock the weave after their natural hair has achieved the length they desired.
Yup i started rocking weaves in july 2012 when i started transitioning and big chopped. I do rock my natural hair now and will do it exclusively after ive reached my desired length. Also, i can subject the weave to heat and experiments.
