yeah I NEVER heard that.
Peedis flow is real distinctive and Beans never sounded like that.
Some of y'all seem unusually upset about this.
Beans one of the dumb ass easy impressionable ass dudes. Like right here TK Kirkland of all people just randomly says Jay-Z was purposely trying to keep Beans below him by always dropping albums right after. Beans runs with it and says it was some foul shyt and Jay was scared of him.
Then you look at the release dates of their albums and you see it's complete bullshyt.
The truth released February 8, 2000
Dynasty album released October 31, 2000.
The reason released June 26, 2001
The blueprint released September 11, 2001
The b coming released march 29, 2005
Jay z was retired in 2005
because sometimes, most of the times, it's not the actual lyrics, but who is saying them and how they are saying them. Voice, flow, presence, star factor...all matters to the average listenerYou know what is funny, the amount of people here and on the net saying “I knew this” “this wasn’t a secret” a bunch of bullshyt. If Jay wrote half of Bleek shyt why Bleek didn’t have more acclaim? Why was Bleek always seen as weaker and inferior not just to Jay but all of State Prop? If I am ranking the lyricists on the ROC he is way down the list. If this was the case Jay didn’t need to write for him they could’ve gotten damn near any unknown to do this as has been and still being done til this day.
AlsoIf Jay wrote for Bleek on a consistent basis, then how come Bleek's bars weren't better more often
I think you got timelines mixed up. I was around then too. The Dynasty album was al;ways supposed to be a Jay, Bleek, Beans, and Amil album and was turned from that into a Jay-Z solo album. Most of State Property wasn't even around yet or had just got signed when the Dynasty dropped. This did happen, but it wasn't Beans that this happened to. It was Freeway, and the rest of State Prop. We used to joke how Roc-Tober turned into Hov-ember. It happened for Freeway's first album, in that it got pushed back like 3 months, the Dynasty album was supposed to be the first "State Prop" album...even though they didn't have a name yet, and it ended up a hijacked Jay-Z album, and then the soundtrack (and movie) got pushed back. We talked about this in real time....but aside from the Dynasty, and soundtrack, Beanie was pretty much safe.

Exactly, it was supposed to be a compilation album for everyone signed to the label.I think you got timelines mixed up. I was around then too. Also
Beans and bleek said they was recording a entire album
Also they both said they have over 40 songs together
(I would love to hear it someone got it)
That means beans never seen bleek write or nothing?
Bleek only had ghostwriters for the songs he spazzed on, easy to tell. Son was average/barely able to listen to otherwise. Same thing Beans said essentially. If Jay wrote for Bleek on a consistent basis, then how come Bleek's bars weren't better more often
