I think you got timelines mixed up. I was around then too. The Dynasty album was al;ways supposed to be a Jay, Bleek, Beans, and Amil album and was turned from that into a Jay-Z solo album. Most of State Property wasn't even around yet or had just got signed when the Dynasty dropped.

They had been signed for over a year at that point. They were all signed around the same time. O & Sparks were signed mid 99 - Oschino has told the exact date numerous times and Young Gunz were signed like late '98/early '99, but it's said they were running with the Roc as early as around time Beans was signed, which was mid-98....even if it wasn't official. It was supposed to be Roc compilation, showcasing them all. Hell, Free made the album and he was signed well after all of them.

It is. Catch up. Jay wrote a song already. Was intended for Shyheim. Jay didn’t know Bleek could rhyme so he gave it to him and told him to memorize it. He did and they recorded the song the same day. He was 15 years old. Bleek didn’t come out til a couple years later but that track was the only thing Jay ever wrote according to Bleek.
