Be honest, Vince/WWE have stayed away from Hogan WAY longer than you thought they would

If there was anyway at all to bring him back they would. They get no credit from me.

it’s crazy where Hogan is vs Ric Flair pop culture wise now. Same generation yet Ric is loved by Millenials who probably couldn’t name 5 of his opponents.

Definitely surprised they’ve been as subtle in using him as they have. Kinda thought they were letting it leave the news cycle then they’d ease him right back

Part of me feels that Vinny resents Hogan. Hogan used to get credited for "building" the E and in reality he didn't, Vince did. Ric was a product of down south so Vince really doesn't have a reason to hate him.

There’s no way to make money from Hulk at this point. He can’t wrestle, can’t talk for other people, and if he ever went around doing PR, he’d only be asked about the sextape, racist tape or the lawsuit. There’s no fukking up relationships made with your improved sponsors, for a guy to show up and get a pop.

He will be back to a mega pop at some point

Him and Flair are really the last 2 left of who were top tier in the 80s golden era.

Macho and Warrior, Piper are gone

Jimmy Snuka tribute video received boos. Hulk return would receive a very mixed reaction.

If the music hits at a pivotal moment and he's coming in for a save the pops will be huge

He didn't kill someone and is the Babe Ruth of wrestling not Jimmy Snuka

They won't do that to Stone Cold. No reason to.
you say that but the longer the product is less edgy and "pg", 'attitude' becomes a distant memory. Stone cold was a good wrestler but we know what he was known for. Why would E need to show his beer antics or his profanity laced tirades moving forward when there is nothing to mark/ vince is done as an on air character.

What exactly does the current E with its brand extention and (indymania) with a slew of non characters need from 97-2000?. The same way hulkamania has no bearing today that 3 year period could easily be erased and kids would be non the wiser

Its going on what 4 yrs now?

You knew at some point it would blow over and he'd be invited back.

But considering he's prob the biggest legend not named Stone Cold, Vince deserves some credit for giving him a proper punishment. :manny:

I personally figured he'd have already been eased back in somehow

Vince n Stephanie ain’t tryna fukk up that sponsor guap. Plus, they prolly don’t wanna deal with Hoegan bullshyt when negotiating money for him to show up.

It still pisses me off how the WWE didn’t give Macho his flowers while he was still alive. Mach was one of the dudes who made WWE what it is today. Macho deserved waaaay better. They wait till the man dead n gone. Could u imagine Macho taking da stage at da HOF ceremony? Everybody woulda been on their feet. Then he coulda did sum RAW appearances n who knows what else. Hell, they let Madusa, Bruno, Warrior come back....but Macho had to die to get his “props”. Mad flagrant.

They started working again before he died

The idea that they tried to replace him with Warrior in Hulkamania Era history has always been hilarious, especially considering the wild shyt Warrior said in public.
Not as hilarious as putting Andre the Giant in that slot during the Monday Night Wars. :mjlol:

The E won't do away with Austin. Sure we might see less emphasis on the Attitude era moving forward with more PG stuff, but The Rock and Stone Cold are cornerstones of that era. Unless Stone Cold does something to make WWE scrub him, he's not going anywhere. It's only natural as time goes on certain people will be forgotten or fade away but I don't think we'll see him just not exist. If anything they'll rewrite history to make his character fit a more PG narrative.
